Surgery was a success.....

My vision is much clearer and I am so happy to get it behind me... For the first time in my life I woke up and didn't run into the bathroom to put in my contact lens - the only sad thing I wish I woke up with Govi beside me... :( My vision is not perfect 20/20 but at 20/70 uncorrected is the best vision I have ever had in my life - with glasses I should see 20/20 - my eye needs to get used to the new lens before a refraction can be done.

So now that this behind me I can continue nagging Govi to get his forms to me....

That is good News! I am glad that it went well for you!:dance::dance:

What is the hold up with your husband sending the forms?

His grandfather is very sick so his mom had to go to his village to take care of him - FIL has to work so Govi is taking care of a lot of the cooking etc. Also for the 3 days before my surgery Govi and FIL spent a long time at the temple praying for me - that is one reason why it went so well I think. :)

I got an RFE 1 week ago and they said I did not submit complete tax forms for 2007 - I posted a separate thread about it. I sent a photocopy of my 1040EZ and original W2. On 12/24 I called the IRS and asked them to send transcripts for 2005-2007 - too bad I am on winter break since I don't have a fax machine at home and if they could fax them here it would be faster. I am ready to send the DS-230 by EMS on Monday.

question - is the barcoded sheet exactly the same for the I-864 and the DS-230? Also it looks like both forms are sent to the same address, but separately, right?

Do you they accept scanned copies of Police Clearance? I think he has to send in the original to NVC.

There are different cover pages for both. They have to be sent separately.

Hey don't worry, you will be done soon enough. I am finised but still have to wait for interview and may be still waiting for interview well after your other half is here. I am hearing it takes 4 to 6 months to get interview in my country so we will see. While they are checking, may i suggest that another PCC be collected in the mean time just in case. They loose documents sometimes.
