Hello All,

I just got word from my fiancee that her visa was approved!! However...

You have to provide three police reports for the interview and one of the reports she provided was from the wrong location(the addresses are very similar).

So, the agent stamped her passport saying that it is approved but will be revoked if she does not come up with the police report. She was given a yellow slip and headed out.

She is getting the police report as we speak and will be sending it with her passport by DHL today. I will get a whole review of how the interview process went tonight and post it in the Latin America forum.

PS. What does a pink slip mean? She saw some girl get a pink slip, I am guessing that is a denial...

I did not attend the interview with my fiancee. They do not require it (I was freaking out for nothing).

UPDATE:

My fiancee went to get the police report and it will take 10 business days until she can pick it up!! Then she has to send it to the embassy and wait for her visa to be sent back! UGH! I already bought the plane ticket!!! But at least, it is partially approved and we have something to go on...

thanks for the congrats everyone!

 Congratulation  We are so happy for you! The pink slip means you got the visa. they put that sticker in my passport when i got my visa. The blue slip means denial. Your fiancee got the yellow one, that means that they need something else to approve the visa, but dont worry she will get it, its just an administrative process, they need that police record and thats it. So now you can start reserving a ticket for her :luv: Congratulations again

Thanks Oly! Your support has been great thru this process!

I already bought a ticket, which means I will have to pay $100 to postpone it, but that is the least of my worries, it was approved with one hang-up and she will only be arriving a week later than I had expected.

Congratulations!!!!!! I knew it was going to be fine!!!!

I'm glad for you both!!! I have to pick up that certificate on friday... remember that it takes 10 business days BUT I'm not sure if next friday and monday (because of the elections) they might not be working... Just be sure to calculate this in order to reschedule your fiancee's ticket... and that the document can only be picked up between 2 and 4pm...

I can't wait until you post the interview... mine is only in 13 days!!!!!
