Thanks :)

If anyone wants to see the actual song clip from the movie, My favorite bollywood movie, I'm posting it. It has memories for me that's why I like it so much and this is probably my favorite bollywood song/scene too. But don't watch it before you watch our video, otherwise ours will look really pathetic. The amount of dancers in the real song and such makes it so awesome. The song is also almost twice as long as what my bridesmaids danced. But a seven or so min song is too long of a dance to perform! :P Tiring. Indian songs are just too long.

I'll try to explain. :P

There was a family problem 10 years prior to the time of this scene. This scene takes place in London. The guy in white(main guy),Rohan has gone to London to try to bring his family back together. The other main guy in white, Rahul, is his older brother. At this time of the movie, older bro does not know the young guy is his brother, it is a secret. The last time he saw his little brother the boy was very young and chubby so he looks nothing like he did as a kid. The younger girl in pink lied and said it's a college friend of someone she knew who needed a place to stay in London. Meanwhile girl in pink and young guy in white flirt a lot, they knew each other since they were kids. The older brother is protective of his sis in law(in pink), he is married to the lady in red. So he keeps getting annoyed when he sees the two flirting, but his wife thinks it's cute(in song they portray this). In this song they are kind of professing their love to each other but not directly. The married couple also sing to each other as you see in the clip.

Anyway the family issue arose because the older brother, from a very rich family, married a girl from a poor family after her father suddenly died, and his own rich father would not accept it or bless the marriage. The older brother was also adopted, and so he is insulted by the father with something like "I can tell you are not my blood now since you made this decision". Though his mother would have accepted it, she can't change the dad's mind. So Rahul left India with his wife and moved to London for a new life. His younger bro grew up without him in India and heard about how hurtful the situation had been after he was older. So he decided to bring the family back together somehow. He hid who he was in the movie so he could get on his older brother's good side as a friend before revealing who he was adn kind of feel the waters.

Over time the older bro grows to like the younger one, and isn't as freaked out about the flirting. Eventually it's revealed who the guy is, cue tears and hugs and questions. And after more confrontations the family is finally reunited after 10 years. :P

Oh yeah-In this video I posted, the part where the father(older man) and mother come in does not exist, the younger brother is imagining it and imagining the father blessing them and accepting it. That is why it shows him wipe tears after that part, it wasn't real but he wished it was. And the reason the brothers hug is b/c the older brother starts liking him as a bro and sees him crying.

Yeah it's definitely my favorite one. :)

When I got it years ago(before Sujeet moved here), me and my sis and friends decided to watch it, not knowing what to expect and thinking it'd just be silly. Well we all cried a couple times during it! Those darn tear jerker scenes.

That is the mother of those 2 guys. They are trying to show she "sensed" something when they hugged. In the earlier part of the movie, before the older brother got married and left India, they showed that whenever he arrived to her house she would just feel he was there and would go to the front door and he'd be there. So I guess she ran to the door cuz she had that feeling, but he wasn't there. But he was hugging his brother. ;) haha....

But is the mother "really there," or is the younger brother imagining her being there?

When I first watched the original video, before looking at the page with the translations, it sounded like they were singing "Leche, leche." I wondered why people in a Hindi movie were singing about milk in Spanish :P

You are talking about at the end when the mom goes running to her front door, right? She is really doing that but it's in India, not at the same place as her sons. I know, confusing, lol.

One of my friends called this song the "Leche con Leche" song since it does sound leche.
