And I am happy to report that my DS-3032/AOS Bill generated today, right on track. I'll be sending the DS-3032 via overnight mail on my way to work today, and the AOS fee has already been paid online. :D

Hi Guys

Clearing my head:

Most of us just got approved and this is where we stand in regard to NVC: ( Our first step)

We need to have handy-

NVC AUTOMATED VOICE RESPONSE # 603-334-0700

Receipt # XXX XXXXXXXXXX

I- NVC will assign a case number

A- Once this case number is assigned (find out by calling the Automated Voice Response) you need to get the Invoice Identification Number (IIN) from

NVC Live Operator.

1-The Case # and IIN # are both needed to be able to login (https://ceac.state.gov/CTRAC/Invoice/signon.aspx) and pay the fees.

** Meanwhile we have start gathering the documents that we have to send **

Thank you KIMF, nice update.

I guess my file is with you. I got another touch today and I got approval email on August 22 but I was approved in August 21 (CSC officer told me).

I have most of my documents ready except my wife's police certificate for DS-230. Does this IRS transcript has expiration date? I got mine 6 months ago for my citizenship but it covers the last 5 years.

Thank you

Hi

I am not sure about the expiration date " Sorry" but I'll try to find out. I am using my Dad as a joint sponsor.

Do the police certificates for the beneficiary ( my husband ) need do be authenticated?

An IRS transcript does not expire. The only documents that would expire are ones for which the information may change. Police certificates expire as crimes can always be commited after they're issued. Medical examinations expire as conditions can appear after its completion. But your income reported on your tax return for a specific year is not something that is going to change with time.

My update: spoke to operator. My question was :

My case is in the system for almost a week, but AVR says "Case not in a system"

Her answer:

Your case is received , but not fully loaded in the system ...

so, I did expect to hear about "forms were generated", but still no. Her answer to my question about how soon it could be "fully loaded and forms generated" was usual 6 weeks.

My other questions regarding COPY of Police Report instead of original were answered as Yes, I can submit a copy as long the expiration date within 1 year .

I asked also about Tax returns. I asked her if I filed electronically, should I just send copy of it, and she answered no, in that case I need IRS Tax Transcripts. But actually I was wrong and did not ask her correctly. I did not filled electronically, my Taxes were prepared by Tax Preparer Person and he gave me my copies. And now I don't know in that case I still need to order Transcripts, or I good to go with Tax returns that I was given by my Tax Preparer.

Really frustrated about it...I thought that I have everything ready, and now I need to wait until they send it to me -up to 15 days... :(

Documents You Need to Obtain and Submit

Document requirements

Please obtain the original documents or certified copies from an appropriate authority (the issuing entity) for yourself and each family member who will accompany you to the United States. All documents that pertain to your petition are required, even if they were previously submitted to the BCIS with your petition.

Police certificates

Police certificates are required for each visa applicant aged 16 years or older. The table below shows how many police certificates are required based on where each applicant lives and has lived previously. Present and former residents of the United States should NOT obtain any police certificates covering their residence in the U.S.

IF the applicant is living in their country of nationality at their current residence for more than 6 months

AND is 16 years old or older

THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

IF the applicant lived in a different part of their country of nationality for more than 6 months

AND was 16 years or older at that time

THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

IF the applicant lived in a different country for more than 12 months

AND was 16 years or older at that time

THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

IF the applicant was arrested for any reason, regardless of how long they lived there

AND was any age at that time

THEN the applicant needs a police certificate from the police authorities of that locality.

The police certificate must:

Cover the entire period of the applicant’s residence in that area, and

State what the appropriate police authorities records show concerning each applicant, including all arrests, the reason for the arrest(s), and the disposition of each case of which there is a record.

Note : Police certificates from certain countries are unavailable. More specific information is available from NVC or the nearest United States immigrant visa processing post.

This is from NVC section: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...es_1308.html#pc

I searched even more and all I found was original every document (certified is acceptable but must be from a appropriate authority)
