Hi all! This email was sent to me from a friend back in America. I thought it was really sweet and perhaps some of you have already received this yourselves, but none the less here it is. I hope you all enjoy it.

THIS IS WHAT LOVE IS ALL ABOUT!!!

It was a busy morning, approximately 8:30 a.m., when an elderly gentleman in his 80's, arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He stated that he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 a.m. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound.

On exam, it was well healed so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and re-dress his wound. While taking care of his wound, we began to engage in conversation. I asked him if he had another doctor's appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife.

I then inquired as to her health. He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.

I was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?" He smiled as he patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is."

I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life." True love is neither physical, nor romantic. True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

With all the jokes and fun that are in e-mails, sometimes there are some that come along that have an important message, and this is one of those kind. Just had to share it with you all.

Oh, by the way, peace is seeing a sunset and knowing who to thank. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the best of everything they have. (Amen to that!) (L)

My first thought was of the movie 'The Notebook'. The saddest yet happiest, most romantic movie I have ever watched and one of my favorite movies.

My first thought was of the movie 'The Notebook'. The saddest yet happiest, most romantic movie I have ever watched and one of my favorite movies.

OMG don't get me started on that movie...I LOVVVVVVVVVVVVVED IT!!! Talk about tear jerker. Now that is love isn't it??? When you finally realise that that is his wife in the home...OMG...then when they die together?!?! OMG...THANKS AUSSIE...I have tears in my eyes thinking about it lol..Hmmmmm perhaps the hubby will go out and rent it for me hehe...

here ya go ....... its a full box so I will share fffbdd52.gif Everytime I am reminded of that movie it brings tears to my eyes. My adult son that was watching in with me was bawling his eyes out too lol poor guy was so embarrassed. It sure is a real tear jerker....but even in its sadness it had the happiest of endings.....they would be together for always fffbdd52.gif

Ok...now ya done it..Just lay it on even thicker would ya?? lol. My favorite movie of all time though would have to be terms of endearment..OMG!!!! When she died at the end.....god my hormones are really going now for some reason...I swear..ever since I had kids....I can't even watch certain commercials without crying ffs. lol.

Thank you. I am now crying......... I needed to read something like this today. I have been in the dumps lately, missing Andreas and not knowing when I will see him again while we go through this process. But, while we are away from each other I keep reminding myself the love that we have. I got a text message from him an hour ago saying he loves me. We all need to remember why we are on this site and its all for LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Praying for everyone on this site that we all become reunited soon!

March 24, 2006 - Check is cashed

April 22, 2006 - Receive email from USCIS that RFE is mailed for more information.

April 28, 2006 - Receive RFE in the mail. Need final divorce decree from Andreas.

June 20, 2006 - 2nd RFE (IMBRA)

June 23, 2006 - Received RFE (IMBRA) in the mail.

June 24, 2006 - FedEx IMBRA RFE to Vermont office.

June 27, 2006 - Vermont Office received IMBRA RFE.

July 3, 2006 - Touched

July 12, 2005 - Fedex request for extension for the 1st RFE.

July 17, 2006 - Deadline for 1st RFE.

July 18, 2006 - Touched

July 19, 2006 - Touched

July 20, 2006 - Touched

August 6, 2006 - Touched

August 17, 2006 - Touched and email that a letter has been sent with regards to RFE.

August 23, 2006 - Letter received, we got the extension I requested, they allowed us 3 MORE MONTHS!!!

October 27, 2006 - Papers mailed by courier from Athens.

Yup! :thumbs: It's similar to 'The Notebook' Shucks, reading bout that makes me remember the day when my fiance left for America, and i was crying so hard, and his mom who was driving told me bout the story of 'The Notebook' which made me cry even more...... :crying::crying: i miss my dj! :crying:

GEESH I am so sorry..lol I didnt mean to start everyone crying!!! God now I am gonna cry..I keep reading the speech my father in law gave at our wedding...and it makes me really cry..something about how he hopes that even though he gave me away on our wedding day (stepping in for my father), that i wont consider him to be my father just on that day but for always...OMG TALK ABOUT TEAR JERKING MOMENTS!! My family hates me so that really meant alot to hear that from Ians dad..lol..GOD NOW the waterworks have started again...
