There is a hindi word that comes to mind... both teams were full of goondas (hooligans) but the worst were the dutch... I was pretty neutral as far as this match was concerned.... but jeeeeeeeeeeeeez Ronaldo was out of the match with a few minutes thanks to a dutch player - and it just got worse and worse... now the current situation really means a lot goes in England's favour - 2 players from the Portugese team red-carded which means they cannot play... and Ronaldo seems to be out too thanks to the dutch goonda... GO ENGLAND GO

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

I really wanted to see England play Holland in the next match. It would have been more fun for tom and me as we know some Dutch guys but we don't know anyone from Portugal.

Quite happy that Portugal won, although had to go to the pub to watch it, missed the fisrt 10 minutes, and left with about 20 minutes to go... Had to watch the live feed on internet as didn't have any cable!

Quite happy that Portugal won, although had to go to the pub to watch it, missed the fisrt 10 minutes, and left with about 20 minutes to go... Had to watch the live feed on internet as didn't have any cable!

I am so glad that here soccer is a passion that you just need to turn on the tv and it will be there on any open channel :)

Yeah, the matches are on open channels, the problem is that our tv is not connected to an antenna so it doesn't have any signal even on open channels! A bit rubbish really, but what the heck! Had a nice time at the pub!
