She's Colombian-Lebanese.This song is pretty cool the video reminds me of that Robert Palmer video from the 80's.

I'm Colombian and I can't stand her. I was a big fan back in the day when she used to sing in a normal way. As soon as she crossed over she started singing like a sick goat. It's sooooo annoying.

I like her combination of belly dance with the more traditional and tribal elements of other dances... African/Columbian/Spanish... The above has lots of that (but her hair is crazy).

The above has some nice bellydancing towards the end, but the mud scene cracks me up so much I cannot get past it... it looks like she's crawling through a cow patty. I think the tinny verses warble you all are talking about is her nasal in contrast to her gutteral emphasis. She has a dark voice usually, but sometimes she forces her sound through her nose making a tinny sound which is actually her closing her throat like she'd speaking or tries to give herself emphasis by vibrating her soft pallette to get her warble on (gutteral sound). I wish she'd just stick with her dark sound.

She's way more fun to look at than to listen to, though...her voice has an odd nasly honking warble to it. Sometimes it's a good voice, but other times it's just...odd.
