When I was about 8 yrs. old - one night as I was lying in bed and not quite asleep, I heard my mother crying from behind my parent's bedroom door, only it sounded like she was in pain. When the wailing got stronger, I really got scared that something was wrong, so I knocked on their door. I was surprised to hear my mom in a normal voice assure me that there was nothing wrong and to go back to bed.

Classless. Glad she was fined.

I had a neighbor once, and his GF looked like a wildebeest. It sounded like living above a slaughterhouse.

Getting freaky and bumpin nasties is fine. But seriously, screaming bloody murder is absoluteley unnecessary.

LOL we had this couple who were so loud when I was living in a dorm... anyway, the rooms in this dorm were set up like a quad so that 4 rooms shared a bathroom, and all the bathrooms adjoined by janitor's doors. One of the rooms had to have the noisey couple in it. I remember her yelling "F!ck me! F!ck me! F!ck me!" over and over and over... until finally someone from another room yelled, "Just f!ck her and get it over with so we can f!cking sleep!!" Then there was a roar of laughter from pretty much all the rooms down the line, and silence from the couple.... :)

OMG that is so funny!!!

Sometimes too noisy and every single day is annoying. I would not mind if it was like on an anniversary or something, maybe my husband and I would have a competition with them, but every day....come on! It's enough to drive one crazy.

Btw, Jabberwocky, I love your sig quote.

I think the court was entirely justified in its ruling. People who live in close proximity should be both considerate and tollerant. One can tollerate one off noise disturbance but not continuous - no matter what the source of that disturbance might be.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Well insulated walls in apartment style living should be mandatory ....that's really the issue. Someone should be able to moan loudly in their bedroom without their neighbor hearing it, and it's not that difficult to make walls sound proof.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

That also assumes people keep their windows closed....
