I'm doing fine as much as i can, both with my baby love we're waiting for the same almost 200 days, got the congressmen, senator, ombudsman involved to check things out for us, its hard waiting but i believe we'll see the light at the end of the tunnel soon cant give up.....right Fredy

HD, we will miss the irish festival this year, maybe next one

I also read about another person I think October, they found a scar on her xrays and she had to undego a sputum test, her interview needs to be rescheduled.

WAIT WAIT WAIT - We just have to hold our breath.

They just updated my case from Admin Review to Admin Processing. My letter has been requested, now I pray for a quick turnaround. I called the embassy and I was given that info.

I just have to be positive still.

The only thing that's keeping me going is that she has a NO CRIMINAL RECORD and you canot get an NBI clearance if you have anything pending.

So Dani I am with you in the waiting game.

Today I have time for joke of the day so here it goes:

A Priest was being honored at his retirement dinner after 25 years in the parish. A leading local politician and 20members of the congregation was chosen to make the presentation and to give a little speech at the dinner. However, he was delayed, so the Priest decided to say his own few words while they waited.

'I got my first impression of the parish from the first confession I heard here.

I thought I had been assigned to a terrible place. The very first person who entered my confessional told me he had stolen a television set and, when questioned by the police, was able to lie his way out of it. He had stolen money from his parents, embezzled from his employer, had an affair with his boss's wife, taken illegal drugs, and gave VD to his sister. I was appalled.

But as the days went on I learned that my people were not all like that and I had, indeed, come to a fine parish full of good and loving people.'...

Just as the Priest finished his talk, the politician arrived full of apologies at being late. He immediately began to make the presentation and gave his talk:

'I'll never forget the first day our parish Priest arrived,' said the politician.'In fact, I had the honor of being the first person to go to him for confession.'

yeah same i thought when they told us we're under security background check, we're both clear no criminal records nothing, well my friend we just cant be sure all is done untill we're in the arms of the people we love

Thanks everyone for your congratulations its very kind.

My thoughts and good wishes for some good news go out to those of you that are still waiting in one form or another, the time will come and I hope it will be soon.

Grats to all the exciting news people have been sharing on here.

Sorry I haven't been around much, but to be honest this place just makes me more depressed (I didn't know it was possible)

We don't have any news, Chris' company has gone south and so he is working like crazy to keep things floating and to keep his job and its well, hectic and frustrating.

Mara its ok, most of us are going through a crisis as well. But you may grab strength from me, you are all in my prayers!

TEEKOL - NBI said the red flag onmy SO's record is from a late credit card bill, my SO lost her job in 2006 so she had some Credit Cards that went 60 days. Didnt know that can go on an NBI! hahahaha! they were all dismissed after payments were received.

Looks like only a few of us will be stuck here without NOA2's...depressing. I've got my plane ticket in 2 weeks but after hearing about the mean dude at the embassy, i'm worried now we won't get it...then do the pre-wedding cermony there and she can't come? my mind is going everywhere and i really don't want to go and waste my time, then come back without her. really depressing. i could strangle everybody! it only takes 15 minutes to complete an application. I woudl have had it but the lawyer's office said black and white pics were OK...they suck! RFE for color pics now my file is likely on someone's desk who's out on maternity leave.

Don't worry, don't give up hope, look at our case, we thought we were smooth sailing after NOA2 but NO, nothing is guaranteed when it comes to immigration until you have the VISA on hand! I too am back in the waiting game!

I am hoping that Chris will be in the office and get to call the USCIS people today, maybe just maybe we will get some news.

NBI??? What is this? How many damn BI's do we need? Crazy! FBI, CIA, DHLS...it's insane! you'd think we're nazi germany with all the police looking everyone and agencies...! (I forgot to mention the 37 other police like entities)...then there's the blackwater secret overseas regulator police and all kids of heinous #######!

Maybe I should move to Thailand (I certainly would if there were jobs there) Now if this were in Thailand, I could slip someone some money and I'd have an answer...but noooo, the US is inept without bribes...ugh!

Just got back from and incredibly great 10 days in Japan with my fiancee. It was incredibly hard to come back here, especially since we are still waiting for our NOA2, not even a touch since 8/26 Frustrating to see Oct approvals when we Aug. peeps are still waiting. But we are doing our best to remain positive ... when this whole excruciating wait is done, we will be stronger for it.
