AHH!!!!

I have been keeping up with the posts for a while and at least there were other people in the same boat Looks like everyone is getting approved now. I filed August 19th...and I haven't had a touch since 8/22/08. What is going on?? I called my congressman and they said they would look into it and they have called USCIS but it's been a week and USCIS hasn't gotten back to him. I called USCIS acting mad but they gave me a different answer: Some cases may not be processed in order and that I wait until 6 months have passed. What do you guys recommend?? Can someone approved recently perhaps send me a case number since I heard the case numbers are processed in order...I was doing ok during the wait because I knew everyone else is waiting, now that it seems the day has passed, it's nuts.......thoughts?

We have a similar time line, so i understand your frustration. We have not reached 6 months yet, but we are approaching it.

I had a question about the Affidavit of Support. Does this have to be Notorized still? I can't remember if I read something about it not having to be, but I could just be having a blonde moment.

CSC=2 VSC=13 and today is Thursday...one more day for CSC to start behaving this week, and then we are off to another week of waiting...*sigh*

Just got back from a trip to Toronto tonight (for work), and went on Igor's list to see who'd been approved. Noticed Harsh -- Also from NJ -- got their approval today so went onto the USCIS website and we got ours too! YAYYYYYY!

Now the tedious work of filling out all those forms begins! One thing i"m a little annoyed at myself at is that I didn't make a copy of the package I sent to the VSC. Hopefully this won't be too big a deal.... Not sure if I should try to pull all my stuff together again -- but won't they actually have that at the embassy for the interview?

6 weeks, 2 days in AP.

I wonder if we'll even ever get out. Kind of don't even want to think about the outcome of my interview. If it ever happens, of course.

For AP, or the fact that we're worried about the outcome of the interview?

As far as we know, there should be no reason for AP. No previous marriages, no name changes, no children, no immigration history or criminal records of any sort. Nothing at all.

Why worried about the interview? Because we're in AP and we have no idea at all why it is happening. Nor we'll ever find out, as much as I know.

Have you called the NVC? Did they tell you anything? Did you hire an attorney to do your case or did you just do everything yourselves. I wonder if your name is similar to someone who has a bad record out there.

As a semi-July/semi-August filer, I'm just popping in to say we got our interview date today! February 11th! Sebastian booked his flight, he'll be here on March 7th!
