The adulation never stops. Glad to know I have a fan club. It brings a bit of sunshine to my otherwise miserable existence here on earth. ;)

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

The problem with the enforcement is the lack of humanity involved. Because we are so greedy ourselves, we will just treat these people like they don't exist. Therefore, we'll destroy their humanity just that we get it our way.

Carry on folks. Nothing new here.

I am sure you would have no love for someone who steals your car, burns your house, or shoots you. These are all crimes, just like unlawful entry. All felonies, every one. No matter where a person is from, if they enter illegally, they are a felony criminal.

Unlawful presence isn't a crime. Illegal entry isn't a felony. (Misdemeanor.) Just pointing that out.

There's a great deal of greed involved in violating the laws of the country you want to benefit you, a great deal of greed involved in taking jobs away from citizens and legal residents. A great deal of vanity in believing that order in a society should not apply to you, or that you shouldn't be expected to take responsibility for your bad acts and to demand leniancy for breaking laws you don't like. There is great humanity in expecting more of minorities than for them to simply be considered helpless and in need of saving. There is courage in trying to break down the barriers in your own country than to create divisions in another.

For decades, the Catholic Church didn't show as much concern for the sexual abuse of chldren by pedophile priests as it has for the abuse of illegals. If it had, then, I would think of it as less hypocritial now. They are at least consistant, being unapologetically on the side of unrepentant criminals for long periods of time. Have they started calling the Ten Commandments the Ten Suggestions yet?

Their greed didn't ruin our humane society. They didn't do anything that separate your family away. Did they?

I hope that you can actually tell the difference between enforcing the law not enforcing brutality.

When you knowingly lie, cheat, and break the law the chickens eventually come to roost. It's time to go back home. Nothing brutal about that.

In that case, we're the same as the perpetrator, but, instead the law favors us instead of them.
