I don't have it either but from what I saw, you can get a lot of good exercise with it. There is a stepping part, which does start out slow but I think you can make it a lot harder and that would be a workout definitely. You control how much you want to exercise, and the time seems to go by fast since it's fun. It even has running on it.

I don't do the running or the stepping - they're both boring and too easy. The hula hoop is actually better exercise IMO. I also like the rhythm boxing. Bam BAM get out your aggression to the beat. I still usually get my aerobics elsewhere (like DDR... can you see the geek in me yet?).

Rythm boxing sounds like fun.

Did you guys come across any cool Wii games? (not Wii fit, just normal Wii) I seem to have bad luck with picking them out. Last one was Endless Ocean, it had such good online reviews so I went out to get it. My friend came over and we played it and kept looking at each other like "are we not getting something to this game?" It was the stuuuupidest game ever. More designed like a computer game with a mouse than for Wii (and maybe for a 4yr old), what a waste of cash.

Did you guys find any other interactive ones, similar to the disc that came with the Wii?

We brought the Wii fit game last week and are having so much fun with it. you can get a good workout from it if you put the effort into it

If you are into serious fitness training it is not the game for you

We have also brought so Wii games that we are not too happy with eg Star trex Cooking mania

I have one and I enjoy it- but it doesn't replace the gym for me.

I like the step aerobics and the step boxing- I wish they would run longer though. The step aerobics lasts for 5 minutes and then you have to start over.

Well, I'd suggest starting with reading some reviews before you buy any. Amazon.com has lots of reviews. Or try Gamespot.com. It's an aweful shame to throw out money on a game you don't like.

The other thing is to try renting a game before you buy it. Most video stores have games these days, and I'd rather spend $7 on a rental and end up with a game I like. Just an idea.

That's what I did, I reviewed it online before heading out to buy it. Online people said it was cool to see the ocean & the sea, blah blah. Those people must be amazed at paper drawings then, cause this animation was like the quality a 5 yr old may be impressed with! Renting places usually have the new games all checked out by the Wii addicts (which I'm not one of).

Has anyone played wirelessly with other people that have the Wii? I got my wii wifi set up, am able to exchange messages on the message board with friends, but when it comes to playing a game together we are stumped. Anyone figure it out??

Only certain games are compatible with online play (Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros.. here's a full list). Otherwise you have to be in the same room.

If you have a compatible game, you need to share your game-specific friend codes in order to find each other on the game. Your game's manual will tell you how to do it.

The Wii has the largest library of multiplayer games (many of which are co-op) where the players are all in the same room. This is on contrast to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, where most multiplayer games are designed to be played online, between people who are far apart. You could potentially host a "LAN Party" but those are difficult to coordinate and expensive, plus it's a real pain to move computers or consoles.

If you're looking to play alongside someone or many people, the Wii is your best bet. If you just want to play multiplayer and you don't care if your teammates or opponents are in the same room or half a world away, then the PC, PS3 or Xbox 360 are better options. :)

Thank you for that list! My friend and I sat there for hours thinking there has to be a way to play tennis together (while at 2 different locations). We even called Nintendo support and were so convinced there was a way to do it, I guess the support guy believed us and was searching for a solution... his solution never worked and now we know why.

The stupid game, Endless Ocean, I see is available to play via wifi :bonk:

The Wii games we like are zelda, super mario galaxy, zack and wiki, lego star wars (on other consuls, but we like this so you can swing your light saber ;) ) and my husband likes mario and sonic olympics, though I'm not a big fan. We bough Harry Potter after hearing good reviews and it was #######. I should have known better!
