Timeline

My fiance received a letter in the mail that says our visa and all visa's are going to be delayed due to new laws of our US Congress. We had it approved and sent to NVC and now her application she sent to the embassy in Romania is being sent to USCIS for approval and then I will have more documents to fill out.

Has anyone heard about this delay that just went into effect. I thought that once it was at NVC and I had all my NOA approvals that we were set?

The letter said this new process will add a 3 week delay.

Anyone else have this experience?

I added my timeline but when I look on my posts I don't see it.

Anyhow, IMBRA is making me crazy. This law is more for dating agencies and their clients and not for an engaged couple that is just trying to get married.

RE IMBRA: Does anybody affected by this law know if there is additional paperwork, or footwork that needs to be done BY THE PETITIONER? Or is it an inhouse procedure which requires no additional contribution. In other words, do I need to go to the police station today, as Im only in the country for 24 more hours????

Thanks for any and all ASAP responses.

Good!

I wanna know that too, since I´m in the same situation as you.

That would help to speed the proccess a little bit.

Another question is: Do the recent petitions sent to USCIS had any new form, such as a Affidavit of Criminal????

I heard about that somewhere.

Check my timiline.

I did not receive any of that...

thanks
