Betty arrived last night in San Francisco, CA at 11:50pm (15 minutes early). She had no problems on her connecting fight from Lima to El Salvador to SFO (Taca Airlines).

I arrived at the airport about 1.5 hours before she arrived and waited in the "International Arrival Lounge."

She was one of the very first people to be cleared from immigratin and customs. They asked her a few questions, took her paperwork, index fingerprint, and welcomed her to the United States. She sadi that the USCIS and Customs officers were really nice. It only took 15-20 minutes after she landed, before she was in my arms. We are at home now and I will post more later.

She said that the USCIS and Customs officers were really nice.

That is really great to hear the way my wife and mother-in-law were treated and many of their friends. All women of course. Did hear on the news about crackdowns the way immigrants and permanent resident card holders were being treated. I have also written to my congressman on this subject, my God, a four hour strip search on tiny little women.

Peace.
