Who do you support, Pedroh? The only Mexican team I know is Necaxa, and that's only because we signed the biggest waste of space in our clubs's history (Augustin Delgado) from that club.

My English team is Fulham. My husband's a Toon fan, although he grew up near Reading.

Regarding another "other" football, we went to Vancouver a couple of weeks ago and saw the fearless BC Lions take on the Saskatchewan Roughriders. I'm embarrassed to admit I hadn't been aware that Canadian football only has three downs. And a 110-yard field! Like, weird, dude!

Before the beginning of the game, Lions players came spilling out of a giant inflatable lion's head. Flames shot up every few seconds from either side of the lion. There was much in-the-air chest bumping.

There were familiar comforts, of course. Like the aged, grim concrete stadium (BC Place, where Pamela Anderson was discovered, apparently) and bad, overpriced domestic beer. Canada---so much like here and yet...so different!
