You need to have received at a minimum Advance Parole. You need to apply for adjustment of status, EAD & Advance Parole after your marriage and then wait until you get it. Do not leave the country without AP or greencard in hand.

YMMV

If you leave the U.S. without either AP or the Green Card, you will not be allowed to re-enter, without a spousal visa, which would be starting all over at the beginning again.

Either take a honeymoon within the U.S. or take a belated honeymoon after you receive AP.

When you file the I-485 for her AOS, you should also send the I-765 for her EAD and the I-131 for AP because the $1,010 fee will cover the cost of processing for all three forms. If everythig goes well, she should receive here EAD card and AP in about three months or so.

You can let your fiance know that by following with this plan before you have either the Green card or your Advance Parole (AP) he will guarantee that you will be denied re-entry to the US until you have a spousal visa. That means abandoning the AOS and all the money paid for it, and having to start the immigration process all over again from the beginning. Have your fiance plan the outside US getaway for AFTER you have received either your green card or your AOS, not before, even if it means delaying your 'honeymoon' for several months. There are some beautiful spots within the US where you can 'getaway' as well. Perhaps he may prefer to look at those for now and defer the 'out of US' honeymoon for an anniversary trip instead.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
