The definition I presented was found at thefreedictionary.com, so I'm not quite sure if you're referring to my post or someone else's.

All I know is that growing up in a Baptist church, we were taught that pagan meant any religion other than Christian. Now it seems as though the definition has changed to mean any non-monotheistic religion. *shrug*

I am not Baptist. Your belief about the Baptist church doesn't affect me one way or another. *shrug*

I can ask Joe Blow what an airplane is. And then I can ask a pilot what an airplane is. And then I can decide for myself exactly what an airplane really is.

In my opinion, since Buddhism is a non-monotheistic religion, it is considered pagan. But then again, since Buddhists do not believe in any god(s), some may not consider it a religion at all, but instead an organized form of spirituality.

But if you're Buddhist and do not consider yourself pagan, more power to ya.
