Checking to see if anyone has news related to the Vermont Service Center. It appears to be so DEAD while CSC is flying through with approvals. Any news/updates/rumors about this useless piece of center is appreciated. There are so many of us waiting.....

The website is not correct. You can look at all the time line for members in this forum and will note more approvals from CSC for recent months than VSC (which is almost at a stand still).

The only thing getting approved are the expedites in Vermont, almost no new aprovals, this is dispeakable.

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

According to that link Vermont is giving NOA2 with NOA1 dates of 4/6/08

It seems like I have to go back on to 2007 to actually see any meaningful I-129F approvals for K-3 visas at Vermont.

In the off chance these were converted to IR/CR-1s, I looked at those. They are even worse.

Am I missing something, or should I just ignore the graph that says I-129F NOA1 dates of April 6 are getting I-129F NOA2 notices now? It sure doesn't look that way when you search on the timelines.

I looked at some CSC timelines, and alot of times are like 45 days between NOA1 and NOA2 for K3 visas. Did they just close up shop in Vermont and move all the staff to California?

If so, can I move to California, and re-file? :)

After looking around a little more. It is obvious that graph is showing I-129F approvals for K-1 visas, even though it is listed under the K3 tab. Not sure why.

Maybe they are starting to process cases with that dates, but not necessarily giving noa2. My case is from around that date and it was touched 2 times last week. I HOPE it is a sign they are really working on my case. Don't know about approvals though. I'm praying God I get mine soon... Is really hard to know what is really going on, but we have to wish for the best, han?! :star:

Be careful of what you wish for. We filed Nov. 20th and the NOA 1 for the I-130 was dated Jan 28th and not received until Feb 8th, which greatly delayed the I-129 filing. The NOA 2's were issued May 8th. The I-130 has not arrived at the NVC, even though the notice said they would send it there, so now they only have the option of going the K-3 route, even though their circumstances have changed and it would be better to go for a CR 1.

I wish for you speedy NOA 2s and the opportunity to proceed on the path you choose.

I did a little more digging. Between 2008-01-15 and 2008-03-15 NOA1 dates for I-129F, there are 59 pending I-129F for K-3s at the CSC.

Of those 53 have a NOA2... 90% or so.

at VSC for the same period

there are 69 pending and only 5 with a NOA2... about 7%, and I suspect one of the 5 is invalid.

Congratulations to the CSC folks. More power to you. I'm just curious why there is such a large discrepancy.
