also, If I sent in the updated pay stubs and letter and they say I still don't make enough, will we get denied or have another chance to show I can support him?

From the stories i have heard they just ask for a sponsor

Application Type: I131, APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On September 16, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I131 APPLICATION FOR USCIS TRAVEL DOCUMENT. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

and my EAD I-765 was updated as well and states that:

Receipt Number: MSC******

Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

You can search now and if you find something, you will have the EAD before you get an offer.

CONGRATS, I say wait until you have the EAD card. Good luck on the job hunting.

Why would we wait?? I've been applying for jobs for 2 months now! Government jobs do not require a SSN to fill out the application...I documented on the apps that I was waiting for the work auth & I've been approved and written many exams already. I say go for it!!
