Checking Online Case Status Everday?

Hey guys-

I have heard of people being penalized for calling the USCIS number too often asking for case status. Is the same true for online? I have this habit of checking my case status online on the USCIS website everyday just in case I do actually have an approval, even though I have signed up for email updates! It's just a comfort thing to check it I guess. :innocent:

Does USCIS track this? Is this looked down upon, just like calling in to check your status everyday? Anybody know if USCIS will penalize people who check online case status everyday, like I have heard they have done with too many calls?

Thanks!!

How exactly do you get penalized for calling too much? I would like to see how

Here is my story. I've lived problem free life, payed my taxes. One day I decided to marry this girl. But to do so would require her to come to US of A, and so it started. My problem free live turned in to free problems from USCIS! Sure things turned to unsure, certain dates turned to aproximation within months. All logical thinking was out the door, as I filed my papers withing famous Vermont Centre!

I have just heard horror stories about people talking to officers on the phone and the officers tell them they are calling too much... also, I read in a forum on here of a guy who got blocked from the line. I'm probably worrying way too much but just wondered!

lol I forget who it was that said there case was put on hold for calling too much but it was someone in the CR1/IR1 forum, pretty much it was just the USCIS officer telling them to stop calling so much and hoping by saying that they would stop calling, in fact i think im going to try to find that post  Nope i was wrong it was in the K3 threads here it is

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=109810

But as you can see they got their NOA2 and everything was ok , just rumors and USCIS being crazy and rude.
