Hello everyone,

Just wanted to warn you all that our I-751 was rejected today because our form was "outdated" even though it says that it expires 09-30-08 and it is the one that is here on VJ under the example forms. The letter we received said to use the form with a revision date of 02/05/07 that you can get off of the USCIS.gov website. The form looks exactly the same as far as I can tell...just the revision date is different. I know it is my bad for not getting the form directly from the USCIS but I didn't even double check since the form here on VJ wasn't expired. So just a warning for you all.

On a good note I got the rejection letter from CSC even though our office was NSC and it says to return the packet to them so that is good :D

The I-751 link under "Downloads" is a direct link to USCIS.

From the direct-link (USCIS) form the revision code/form title is:

OMB No. 1615-0038; Expires 10/31/09

I-751, Petition to Remove

Conditions on Residence

Under Example forms the revision code/form-title is:

OMB No. 1615-0038; Expires 09/30/08

I-751, Petition to Remove

Conditions on Residence

Perhaps some clarification is in order.

I used the form revised 8/1/06 that expires on 09/30/08. They sent the entire package back to me with a notice that was checked for using the form that is revised for 02/05/07. Don't worry too much about it...it shouldn't delay you very much and it can be a very easy mistake to make.

But there are several forms with the revised for 07/30/07. I did not use the form with rev. 02/05/07, instead I used the rev. 07/31/07 and the expiration date is 09/30/08. I hope it will work fine for them. The newest one is the expiration date is 10/31/09. They are very confusing. Thanks a lot!

I just downloaded the form directly from the USCIS website at http://www.uscis.gov - go right to the source to get the most up to date form.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

It happened to me too - but I just mailed the whole packet back with the correct form (my packet was hole punched and had a clasp on it) - it came back from California even though I had mailed it to Nebraska - the check was still attached to it. I sent it back to Nebraska, got an acknowledgment and then NOA from California in 10-15 days - no big deal really! Good Luck

I got my rejection notice for this same mistake today and I sent the whole packet again with the updated form but forgot to place the rejection notice on top of my file. Anybody know if they will send back my file again?
