YES! AZUMI IS AWESOME! I watched it on CTN in Cambodia. Very nice action.

As far is action in terms of martial arts film, you'll many of them from Asia. Most do not make it here to the states which I'm disappointed in.

Yes that is really in my top lists. :) Wow! and the "Zatouchi", oh i watched already 3 times "So Close" , really really nice action.

Yojimbo and Seven Samurai are great samurai movies

Kurosawa's Samurai films are great - it doesn't really get any better than Seven Samurai, but Kurosawa moved away from the conventional form (after Yojimbo and Sanjuro) when he did Throne of Blood, Ran and Kagemusha - those movies are very good - but can be heavy going and are very different in tone from Seven Samurai.

If you like Samurai movies - you might want to check out some non-Kurosawa stuff from the same period.

I particularly recommend checking out - Samurai Rebellion, Hara Kiri and Sword of the Beast. Hara-Kiri in particular is at least on a level with any of Kurosawa's movies.

The original Zatoichi films were great - I liked the remake but thought that the story was a bit uneven.

I have watched bits and pieces of the older ones and then I tried to watch the ones with Pirece Brosnan but I fell asleep... yawn so boring...

Apart from Goldeneye the Pierce Brosnan movies were pretty awful. It wasn't Brosnan's fault as much as the terrible scriptwriters that Eon Productions employs.

Casino Royale had the same screenwriters BTW - but they also hired Paul Haggis (who did Crash and Due South) to tart it up. I suspect that's why it ended up being a cut above the last 4 movies.

Some of the jame's bond's i like,

die another day

the world is not enough

tomorrow never dies

golden eye

license to kill

the living daylights

a view to a kill

you only live twice

live and let die

the spy who loves me

for your eyes only

 I like the Bond movies - but Die Another Day... There's no saving that...

I like how you worded that, Sixy.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

RottenTomatoes is all US (Hollywood stuff). Nothing from foreign films.

Foreign Films are almost 10^99 times more scarier, actioned, dramatic than the US counterparts. In Japan, they don't have tough regulations on movies. China, well, you can ask the store "Where are the ratings?". They'll respond, "Never heard of it."

You won't be disappointed.

Ratings sometimes are not true or let's just say doctored. LOL! Peace. just kidding. :)

I just saw the remake of King Kong recently, and I think it was excellent as far as action films go.

I still prefer the original - for lack of a better word I found the new version a bit pretentious with the Josef Conrad references they threw into the script.

I saw "The Deer Hunter" again recently and it was a good as it was the first time I saw it. It's a great "Nam flick with a decent plot. It's also a favorite of mine because of the Slavic scenes in the movie. I'm Slavic and so is my wife.

"Credibility in immigration policy can be summed up in one sentence: Those who should get in, get in; those who should be kept out, are kept out; and those who should not be here will be required to leave."

"...for the system to be credible, people actually have to be deported at the end of the process."

US Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D-TX)

Testimony to the House Immigration Subcommittee, February 24, 1995
