Part of me thinks it is a good thing that there is no rhyme or reason for the dates for the interviews it will give us all hope those of us waiting when we get to that stage.

I am thrilled for Karen & Joel way to go, I hope I have the same good fortune you both did.

leaf... i hope that your process gathers some speed to it...

it is hell for any and all who are in this process... WAITING...

wish ya the best!

Ya know, I've learned that it does not matter where you are or who you are , if EVERYONE did everything at same thing at the same time and day, nothing would be completed at the same time. He$$, there have been people that interviewed AFTER my fiance and got their visas already and we are still waiting. KarenCee and Fuzzness has nothing to do with the process on who gets an interview when. They following the guides on here like we all have done. And really, I'm not trying to cause problems, but maybe PM questions like this or ask a general question and not name people. :whistle:And what's up with are they both women???? Ummm.....can't even do that so I'm not going there.

:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Right on crazyinEgypt!

the "are they both female" comment sounded a little disparaging to me... and uncalled for...

from reading VJ, this is what I understand... THERE IS NO RHYME OR REASON to the progress made on each petition... it doesn't always happen in chronological order... because there are different phases of the background check going on the entire process of the visa application...

hope that answered your question...

and remember... when you ask a smartypants question... you will get a smartypants answer... lol

I'm sad that some think I've been flippant or disrespectful. I had no idea that two of the members were actually the same case. I asked an innocent question and can't quite figure out what prompted some of the responses. I'm sorry this thread degenerated to that.

and i also hope that you get some answers for yourself... i have posted before that the waiting is the most difficult... because i believe that it is... but thankfully you are not going through the Casablanca consulate where the INTERFVIEW is actually the most difficult...

chin up... and carry on... you will see the results of your efforts soon!

I really have an issue with your post. First off it sounded snippy and if you will tell me why? I see from your timeline your interview is scheduled for 2006-05-11. It is only 5 days from now.

Honestly-the waiting stinks!

BUT-some people are waiting far longer than you will have to ( there is someone who just got a date for an interview next year)! Then they don't get even got to know if it is approved or not that day! They have to wait again for whatever the Embassy has to do.

You will be interviewing very soon- and probably be getting told you are approved that day! No more waiting:)

I try and look at it that way.

Actually, it all stinks-we are all waiting-it's frustrating-but hang on in there! Try not to over analyze possible systems or " motives" of the USCIS, they are a law to themselves!

You had a quick NOA2 time, and the interview will be soon.....

Hang on in there!

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

I just think people start pulling at straws in desperation to make this process seem like it makes sense. It is just luck on when you get an interview and for each stage. best of luck to everyone still waiting.

I would guess that the answer to the why is simply this:

Your case, wherever it goes, is assigned to someone. The people they are assigned to are different .. and no 2 people work exactly the same. Some people are sticklers for crossing Ts and dotting Is and verifying every little piece of information, others are more laid back. People have different capabilities, some work fast, some slower. And for those of us whose cases are going through this process, it's all the luck of the draw.

I am sure this is exactly what it is, and on any given day we can all admit sometimes we work better than other days, heres to everyone having more better days.
