Interview today visa approved!!!

hi all,

ok first off we'd like to thank all the people that gave us advice on this process and made it as easy as possible, great site love it.

Ok i had my interview today we had our appointment at 8:30 which was a bit harsh as we had to get up at 5:45 even though i only live 10 miles from the centre of London.

Lynn flew in to London 2 days ago and it was amazing to see her again, i'm glad she did as having someone with me at the interview made the whole waiting for my number to be shouted seem not stressful at all :)

We arrived 5 mins late to the interview, it could have been more but i flagged a cab as we came out of the station (gotta love black cabs for once they were around when i needed one hehe), it was ok though the guy incharge of the lines didn't seem to care and as our time allocated que hadn't all gone we just joined the end :)

Once inside we got our ticket, we had 001!! first immigrant visa of the day apparently :) anyway as this was the case we were seen quickly and then seen for the second time quickly too.

they didn't ask for any of the previous forms from previous packets and it really was alot easier then we expected. the interview was brief and the questions asked were;

how did you meet your fiance?

what are your shared interests?

has your fiance been to the uk? (bear in mind she was standing next to me, she even chuckled as she asked me the question lol)

have you met your fiance's family?

that was it although i did expand on the answers and volunteer information in my stories that she didn't ask for, she was nice she smiled as i talked of our relationship which was nice :)

she didn't even tell me i was approved!!!, i had to go back to the window to ask if that really it and if i was done, she laughed and said "yes go pay the courier, you will have the visa by monday aslong as your fingerprints are ok" (i presume this is a check of the american police records to see if i have a record there, which i dont so its cool :)

that was it, no welcome to america, no congrats, nothing said about poe, i even had to ask if that was it lol, like i said it was very quick and painless.

Time of appointment 8:30

Time of entry to embassy 9:00

Time on leaving embassy 10:00

Total visa process 101 days :)

piece of cake nothing to stress over aslong as you are prepared :)

were gonna take a break and enjoy our achievement, but dont fear, we will be back asking annoying questions soon regarding aos :)

April 18, 2007 :Contacting our Congressman.
May 18, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, Welcome Notice Sent! Finally!!!
April 22, 2007 : E-mail rcvd, GC has been ordered
April 24, 2007 : Welcome Notice Rvcd. Yeeehaaa!!!!
June 1, 2007: GC arrived! Yippy! USCIS Free for 2 years!
2008: Moved to China
2009: Conditional GC Expired and Husband has been having affairs since 2008 in China. Can't file for ROC since he got laid off. He came to Jakarta to live with me and my parents. He got a new job. Life resume to normal or so I thought.
March 2010: Officially separated after yet more affairs exposed just a day after my birthday!

February 2011: Officially divorced.
June 18, 2011: He married the girl he had the last affair with.

August 2014: I am engaged with my real soulmate. Not an American.
