goodluck but it is gonna be long and hard just get ready ..sorry to say this but I am just straight forward ...

Well, long I can understand... but I believe that my hard part is over. The rest in on Lin, which sucks for her, but we have a lawyer working on it to help her. Lin wants to be here ASAP which is the hard part for me because I feel so badly for her that it will most likely take longer than what she had hoped for. If only I could have filed to Vermont instead of CSC like this person's K-1...

Yup, still here. Been a tough month since we submitted the K1 Visa (in terms of the process, not our relationship). I still haven't gotten our NOA1 even though I submitted 4/14/08. Called them on Tuesday, May 20, after reading information from USICS not call for the first 30 days. I got bumped around a bit and given a story that it could take as long as 90 days to issue the NOA1. But once he took my information and entered it into the computer, he found we had been entered into the system. He then stumbled around saying we could expect to get the NOA1 by mail no later than June 15.

Ok, whatever. Fortunately he gave us the receipt number, which is all I care about right now. Funny thing about the number. The number is WAC081375----. Now from what I have read the 3 numbers after the WAC08 is the fiscal day they first dealt with your package. Fine. But the date is from October 1, which puts this date around February 15, not April 15. The number should be somewhere closer to 197. Hmmmm.

Then I check the online status and it says the most recent update was May 1st. So that the day they put it in the box? Usually it seems it is touched 5-10 days after receipt and then not again until they start adjudicating. But this seems to be a little late for petition. Does this mean we are in the May boxes and not the April boxes? Who knows?

Just random rambling as we wait impatiently to be together.....

In other news, my trip down to Venezuela was a success. I asked her father for permission to marry Rosi. He and her mother gave us their enthusiastic approval! Two days later I officially asked her to marry me on bended knee and gave her my Grandmother's engagement ring. She of course said yes!

I hope all is well with the rest of the CSC filers. I know it's tough, but the struggle, I believe, will make us stronger.

hi robert...good to hear from another basement baby! :) i've decided that's where our petitions are, holed away in a ratty box somewhere. anyway, i couldn't help but notice on your timeline that they were able to cash your check in a timely fashion, but not issue the NOA1! lol...typical bureaucracy, right?

no clue about when they put it in the "box" (i.e. basement). our petition was touched a week or so after my NOA1, and not since, which was the date of our banishment to the dungeon, i'm sure. anyway, glad your trip to venezuela went well...i'll be going to australia in july to visit my fiance, break up the time a little. i can't go often because of the expense and time off work, but we're hoping it will go fast. yeah, those words are a dime a dozen around here, thats for sure. :clock:

hang in there...and keep in touch!

Robert.. the three numbers you indicate are the working fiscal days.. not calendar days...and this can include those days employees work overtime so it's really hard to pinpoint anything but generalizations by using the numbers. ;) Nobody can tell you what your touch means or what box you're in. Not everybody is touched before they are stored or even when their case is worked on. I suppose it's at the discretion of the adjuticator working your case and some seem to play by their own rules. In any case, I hope you find your approved sooner than you expect. ;)

Susie.. .nice to see you hon. hug9.gif Hope you're hanging in there. Will email you soon.

Ahhhh, that makes sense. So the 137 is accurate for the fiscal days. Cool, thanks!

The USICS website says that the petitions was a I-129F recieved April 15, so I am confidant it is mine :)

How is everyone else's process going? Any trips planned?

Good Luck to you all. Hopefully California starts plugging along.

HEY ALL YOU APRIL 08 FILERS!!!

can we join the April 08 club?????

I hear everyone's pain when talking about waiting and visits and such. I have to say, honestly, since i met my fiance , we have been so happy that so far the waiting and distance dont matter. being sure about each other helps a lot, because you dont spend time wondering if they are changing their mind or have an ulterior motive. however this grace period for me seems to be coming to an end...or maybe , hopefully, these feelings are making a pit stop and will soon be off, like a summer thunderstorm followed by a hot sunny day. or...Off, like a bad toupee! Off like a prom dress! anyone want to add to that?
