They also want to see evidence from the entire marriage not from the time you recieved the GC.

I was wondering about that. I was going to do a photo section starting from when we got married (a month after he arrived to US) up to recent, and gather a few documents that go back to 2006 up to now (I think we can get copies of our joint credit card statement).

Mindy did an excellent job!

Thanks Gill!!

BUT -- I can't take all the credit. I copied my cover letter from Julie (Sbys) -- I found it here on VJ in one of the "guides" I sent it to her (and because she filed two weeks before I did) I took her final letter and changed it with my info. Would love to say that was my brillance but it wasn't.

Jonesie: I started collecting things the moment Roy got here. We kept a folder in the kitchen and would drop mail and other things in there so it was all in one place. It does say in the "instructions" 'from the time of the marriage' so we included photos from our wedding shower and from the wedding too. It was over 200 pages of utter ####### but it made me feel better

We married and filed almost immediately after he got here in 2006. Thus, the reason I am not worried about much before the green card arrived. Like I said, they wouldn't let us do a darn thing here in Missouri before he got the green card, so there is little paperwork to prove. I have lots of scrapbook pages from then to then though.

Mindy is brilliant....

(L)MINDY!! (L) Hey my girl :) good to see you around

I'm a packrat when it comes to bills so I know somewhere around this place I have old bills, but your idea was very smart (for all those that have yet to file AOS/Removing Conditions - take notes!) to drop proof in the folder

Thanks MINDY for stopping in. We had a "drop folder" as well...not 200 pages but pretty hefty.

Gill - start collecting after you get married just in case you have an AOS interview. Hopefully, you won't have an interview but you never know....just be prepared. Most things on our list we had to provide for the AOS interview so we were prepared for LOC. We had to show evidence of joint bank accounts, bills in both names, wedding pictures, health and life insurance policies, etc.....

Thanks SJB & JG...it's like a little mini reunion for the VJ-129F Yardie class of 2006. That's really sweet... :luv: I hope in 2 years current filers can be the same way! Like I said before good luck to ALL of you....I can just imagine how nice it will to have the USCIS out of your lives...once and for ALL! I am sure you all will be fine...you have each other to bounce stuff off!

Does that mean naturalization for Ken? Andre is heading that way. I want USCIS out of my life forever too.

Damien's biometrics was March 14. He got his passport stamped April 10th...the day his CG expired. Last Saturday we received a "duplicate" NOA extension letter. But we never got the orginial  .

Oh, yah, I keep forgetting to mention the card thing the 2 year GC came on. Mindy forgot it too till I reminded her. I found ours in our car just about a month ago. I was so shocked. It was under the seat and someone must've spilled soda on it or something. (Shrug) It's going in with the package no matter how it looks!

I didn't include that. I don't remember reading anywhere that you needed it. I probably threw it out!

We're doing good. Tony's still looking for a job. He's been home with the baby which is saving us money in daycare, but not good for Tony. He gets depressed when he's not working. I've been back to work for a month now and hating every minute of it! I miss my baby :crying:

We did get an e-mail and a letter stating that our case got transferred to California so that's good. NSC is sooooo backed up - they're almost 2 years behind right now. I'm hoping to hear something soon, hopefully without another interview! :innocent: His letter extends his GC til August - after that if we still don't have it, we'll have to get a stamp. It's been over 10 months now since we sent in our petition

Hey errrbody!

Jonesie, we mail in just bout everyting on that list as well, SBJ's and my time line are just about the same. I don't think you'll have a problem either, that's the first thing the lawyer asked us about, it's unfortunate they think of it that way, but he's good evidence. We are at the CSC as well

Later.
