Jonsie.....dont' you have to list ALL addresses on you've lived together on the I-751? I don't have it in front of me at work; but I think you do. If so, I would not worry about the bank statements saying anything different as far as the address goes. 2 years is a long time. People move all the time.

Oh, yah, I keep forgetting to mention the card thing the 2 year GC came on. Mindy forgot it too till I reminded her. I found ours in our car just about a month ago. I was so shocked. It was under the seat and someone must've spilled soda on it or something. (Shrug) It's going in with the package no matter how it looks!

OMG ! Oh my! we didn't send this  . Where did it ask for it. SHYT! DAMN!!

I would say as far back as you can. I plan on starting from November 2006, when Andre got his green card. I'm only sending quarterly copies of everything. No need for monthly as long as they keep going for 2 years straight.

Agreed! I printed every bank statement since hubby was added. The damn lawyer said they don't usually send in all of them. Something about not pissing them off by making them go through so much stuff. My reply was, I thought that was the point to show over the two year time span. And asked if he could please send in all of the statments, WTH.

what if you don't have joint checking or savings account does that matter? We don't want to combine our accounts until he graduates college. We only have car insurance joint and recently a best buy card. We will have 3 years of taxes before filing next year. He is also on my dental insurance. But the house and all bills are in my name. I am hoping the baby is good enough proof. Do we really need a lot of items?

Thanks

Jax

Mindy did an excellent job!

Thanks Gill!!

BUT -- I can't take all the credit. I copied my cover letter from Julie (Sbys) -- I found it here on VJ in one of the "guides" I sent it to her (and because she filed two weeks before I did) I took her final letter and changed it with my info. Would love to say that was my brillance but it wasn't.

Jonesie: I started collecting things the moment Roy got here. We kept a folder in the kitchen and would drop mail and other things in there so it was all in one place. It does say in the "instructions" 'from the time of the marriage' so we included photos from our wedding shower and from the wedding too. It was over 200 pages of utter ####### but it made me feel better

good advice Mindy. I think I will steal your idea with putting items in a main folder as they come in.

You are supposed to send as much as possible and the lists are usually very long of what people send. It'####### or miss no matter what you send. I say send it all you have and then see what happens.

Mindy got the letter for biometrics already. I think it is May 2nd or 12th. Something like that.

Thank you so much for mentioning this, as I completely forgot about it. I was on the hunt looking for that paper yesterday. We still have unpacked boxes in our spare room so I was tearing through them gathering all the documents and papers for previous filings. I found that sheet (thank the Lord I kept everything they sent us), and since we interviewed for AOS and they didn't take any evidence from the binder, I found some things in there that I can use for this step of the process

I printed out our gas/electric bills, 2006 and 2007 joint tax returns, found our health coverage statements from his work, and will be going to the bank probably early next month for a letter stating when our joint account was opened and that it is still active. We have checks from the account but they bear our previous address...I guess we can explain that if need be. I will be doing more printing today so that I can start to assemble this binder.

Exactly...that's why I recommend you start collecting right after marriage. You never know if you'll have an AOS interview and they require joint financial evidence. Our interviewer only asked for our joint account statements and employment letter but we offered other stuff like...insurance policies, joint household bills etc. She was so pleased. It depends on your interviewer but it's better to be prepared than to have nothing at all. It definitely helped with the LOC evidence. They also want to see evidence from the entire marriage not from the time you recieved the GC.

We had no problems getting things in both name with Damien's SS card and Jamaican passport....even before he started working.

ok so where did my post go
