Come on peejay, make use of your constitutional rights, start a counter-protest.

Or you could just ignore their protest.

or call ice

I bet if ICE rolled up with a few buses and a hundred officers asking for green cards it would sure put a damper on the protest.

 maybe peejay and several hundred other citizens can get ice jackets and show up in a few rented buses.

I think you would run into issues with impersonating a goverment agent.

depends on what ice jacket they get ;)

Ask and deport, family urges

and

Should LAPD officers be allowed to ask about citizenship status when stopping people for routine questioning?

78% says yes

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/laplaza/

We do that already if someone has been arrested. But ICE doesnt have the resources to handle them, so they eventually go free anyway.

Without fixing that, adding an unessary invasion of privacy on top of it, wont solve the problem.

Just out of interest, what makes people so sure that the protesters are more likely to be illegal immigrants than US citizens? I would have thought that was less than obvious. US citizens have every right to ask for changes in immigration law to allow for the legalization of those who are currently illegal. Whether their reasoning is sound or people think it 'rewards' bad behaviour is somewhat irrelevant they have the right to make their case in any way they choose.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Because the last one was populated by a majority of people that are illegal.

How do we know? Did they advertise their illegal status? You may be right but I just wondered how one could know by looking at them.

We don't, but if they are US citizens, they have nothing to fear :P
