Hi the other day I posted a question regarding this situation and just wanted to share the results!

My husband is working out of state for a few months (Atlanta) and was requested to get his biometrics for EAD renewal taken in St. Paul.

We kept rescheduling thinking it may be more convenient (and economical) to fly up at a later date.

Anyway we came across this solution and it worked!

Without notifying the St. Paul office he presented at the Atlanta office on the day and time he was scheduled in St. Paul. He had a faxed copy of his notice (the original did not arrive to him in time). We thought he may not get in that day, they may demand he come back with his original notice, or they may notify him of their walk in day and he would have to go back then.

Well he got lucky they let him in with just the copy of his notice, he waited in line, and they took his prints and photos and he was out the door.

No hassle and not many questions asked!

While the zip code locater says we are in St. Paul keep on getting appointments in Milwaukee for biometrics, 3rd set of fingerprints for my wife, what did they do with the first two?

Both field offices have one thing in common, more armed guards then USCIS officers, has to be a reason for that, anything of value in there?

Both are about the same distance, but time wise, St. Paul is faster as their office is right off the interstate and the sun, if it is out, is behind me. Besides, St. Paul is close to the Mall of America, and I love looking at shoes. NOT!! LOL. Plus the St. Paul has a huge parking lot and don't have to walk several blocks.

But have family in Milwaukee that I like to see, but can't never stay for a few minutes, and that drive home is murder close to midnight with work the next day. So for us, it's a toss up.

When the USCIS says be there, we are there, usually a half to a full hour ahead of time, would be nice if the USCIS was equally accommodating. Thought about requesting going to St. Paul, but always concerned the paperwork would get fouled up. LOL, should take that back, the USCIS never fouls up paperwork.
