I posted earlier about the production of the green card letter... well my wife finally received the card we have been filing applications for the last four years. As I opened my mail box today, I instantly realized the special letter from Lee Summitt was related to my wife's Green Card. I was very nervous opening letter. The last thing I wanted to see was misspelling or a mistake on her name and etc... I checked everything to make sure the information is all correct. Then I said to myself, is this what we have been waiting for more than 4 yrs? Anyways, I am very happy and I hope everyone can have the same kind of feeling me and my wife have at this point. Our next step is is to file for N-400 in exactly 2 yrs and 9 months from now. Oh before that, I need to tell my wife to go the Social Security office and have the message about having an EAD card from her card. Take care everyone and best of luck to you.

Thank you everyone for the replies... Shadtov no one can say that this was suppose to happen to us... If you look at my timeline, I got married in Iran in 1-1-04... Before getting married I had researched and talked to several people about whether I should go through the K-1 or the K-3 route... I chose the K-3 route and thank goodness my wife was with me throughout the ordeal. Many people who filed for i-485 months after me, from Iran, applied for Greencard outside of U.S. and got their Green Card much much faster than my wife... I am happy with my decision and would not change anything, because you dont know what is going to happen. Oh for those that did get their green card before me now have to remove the condition.. My wife's green card is for 10 yrs and in about 3 yrs she can apply for citizenship.

We made numerous infopasses along the way and everytime the officer would tell us that it is out of our hands and it is up to the FBI checking. Recently, we received a letter saying that my wife had to go for another set of fingerprintings and many of our friends said that it is a good sign, meaning that your green card is on the way.

I hope the best for everyone and hopefully you can pass this stage with as little pain as possible.
