YES! WE WERE APPROVED ON THE SPOT!!!

The interview was quick and painless, and we were approved on the spot.

We had prepared a whoooooooooole bunch of documents and brought an album full of pictures, postcards, etc, etc, but the only thing that the officer (who was Chinese and fast/efficient) asked for was some pictures.

He also asked how we met, what we were doing right now, where we lived, confirmed our information (address, phone number, ssn, etc.), and where our families were. Just basic easy stuff. I (sponsor) had started a new job after submiting the application, so I told him about it and gave him a newly updated I-864 with supporting documents (paystubs and letter from employer).

When we told him that my husband was looking for a job, he didn't even take the EAD or AP papers just in case the green card didn't arrive in time.

All in all, it was quick and easy. The officer complimented us on organizing our application very well, saying that it made things easier for him. After the interview, we recieved a letter of approval and was told the green card would arrive in about two weeks.
