In reflection of yesterdays events and the things that have happened to me through this process, I wanted to reflect a little bit on VJ and get get your input on what I have to say.

I have found VJ to be more supportive than I thought. Its been a long and heartbreaking process. I started last January with a k1 which I did not put together properly and messed up and ended up doing a cr1 and added about 9 months onto the process. My pregnancy expedite knocked 3 months off the process but all in all its been a long , drawn out process and nerve wracking..

I have appreciated the comments from people who interviewed before me. It gave me the heads up to drill my husband on certain facts, saying my address properly.... not forgetting important dates.. what to expect at the consulate, getting through the NVC ( before my expedite of course which all the info posted with phone numbers helped me make the decision to call them) I knew about the passport photos before anyone told me including my attorney. I knew about certain lines to be filled in with present instead of left blank. I knew from JPaula to go ahead and call the embassy even though my attorney told me not to and ask if it was ok that he got his medical and to go ahead and schedule it ( thanks JPaula)

Jackie helped me by keeping me cheered up. So many made me laugh, Nagishaw, Amal, Moroccoforever.. Olivia.. I mean there are so many Melinda and tarek, Maggie out in washington did alot to check on me and helped me. WOM had great advice. I cant in my head remember , Bridget, Ganja Girl, Polar Bear, I am sorry if I am leaving people out. Meriem Setif had some good advice for the consulate. Charles was like a cheerleader. There have been amazing moments on me for VJ. My slumber party that I kind was in the room but not in the room and chatting in private ( sorry everybody but I was happy you were there.. I just really wanted to talk to Jackie Jp and Olivia and Amal ( lol)

I know we have not always seen eye to eye on here but who the hell else understands the importance of an NOA2 or an interview or lonliness ( nutty always makes me laugh) You hurt in your heart for people with returned petitions and rejoice when you see them make it through and all the way back...

I wouldn't have traded this crazy ### year for anything ( I joined last April I think) I have said some stupid stuff, I have learned alot about myself and really just been happy to have everybody.

Yesterday really pissed me off and I really got to thinking. Who the hell are all these cyber people? Apparently a hell of alot more important than I thought.

I had my genetics testing yesterday for the baby and today I took my little girl to the dentist and they told me she has a congenital birth defect with her teeth ( there are no adult teeth below to come up to fill in her baby teeth gaps.) She was born without several adult teeth in her lower jaw and we never knew till today because she had not had an x ray ( the picket fence effect.. ) She was really good in the cleaning. I ll cross that road when she is 7 or 8 when we figure out what to do( the dentist had never seen a baby born with fewer teeth than normal, its usually too many) Anyway, Zahra brushes her teeth like crazy and she has the cleanest toddler teeth ever ( the dentist said) SHe was amazed.

Well anyway, I really have come to love you guys and I thought this would be a good thread to start.

What VJ MEANS TO ME...

support

fighting partners

someone to share sad stuff with

to help me get through things

all kinds of stuff..

Oh and I am really sorry I flip out all the time over greencard fraud. After yesterday, there is one that I wish would do it..

Ok Ill be quiet now

I started VJ shortly before my husbands interview in 05. I had high hopes because I knew we had enough proof to show any consulate the validity of our marriage. I had one member that let me know that because of the age difference our case would be tough. They gave me good advice, and told me to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. No way did I realize that my husband would never be given the opportunity to show our evidence. It was a nightmare to say the least. I didn't understand what a returned petition was, and sadly most people here didn't know either.

I finally found someone on VJ that had this happen to them as well, then another and another. I was so grateful to find Blueblue and Chiquita because they helped me to understand what was really happening. Chi had done her homework well and paved the way for me as well as many others, on what steps to take. As most of you know, we fought like He## and won.

What does VJ mean to me? It means that I found people that really cared, and helped me to be reunited with my husband despite the denial. I found compassion and sympathy when I needed it and I found a kick in the A## when I needed it. Without VJ I would never have known what to do and he probably would still be in Morocco with our case in the bottom of some pile at the USCIS.

Wahrania, sometimes I could just wring your neck! But then again sometimes I could just hug you! Charles and his wife, OMG....when they start twisting a heated thread into a joke I just love it. I am so glad he comes in here to entertain us. We need to balance seriousness with laughter, and I appreciate all that do this.

I kind of chuckle sometimes. When we go the rounds it seems like everyone is in here thinking how horrible MENA women are, but I seriously believe that if we weren't in cyber world, and someone here was in a crisis I do believe that almost everyone would run to be at our side in an instant.

Wahrania, about your daughter. I am sorry to hear about this. My brother had a genital condition that caused him several health issues, one of them being that he didn't have hardly any adult teeth. He was fitted for dentures at a very young age, and he never had any issues with it. In fact, I was married before I even realized that he had any problem whatsoever, and his issues were very apparent to an outsider. Never treat her any differently than any other child because of this and she will never realize that she is different. He used to brag that he never got a toothache in his life. He died about 2 years ago because he didn't have the normal health of anyone else his age. I miss him, but I will never forget that he was as normal as anyone else around him.

VJ has meant a lot more to me than I could have imagined when I first came upon this site through google! I was lucky enough to find VJ BEFORE my then fiance and I decided to file a visa for him to come live with me in the US. From the guides to the helpful members... I filed on my own without any RFE's and a speedy approval all because of VJ! I've also made amazing friends, learned a lot of random things, and had some interesting arguments. Thank you VJ for all of those things! :D

(and the ignore feature!) lol :jest:

I forgot to add, I also have something wrong with me like your daughter. I have baby teeth, and have no adult teeth to replace them. Not all my teeth are baby teeth, I think it is like only 5. I also only had two widsom teeth. That thing with the baby teeth is suppose to be rare, cause every time I go to the dentist they always tell me about it. lol

Wahrania, I love you !

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

wahrania i dont know if this will make you feel better, but i had horrible horrible teeth and needed to have teeth pulled etc and i basically had all my teeth replaced with either veneers or crowns and i now have fabulous movie star teeth that are perpetually white. alot of it was covered by insurance and i hope that in your case most of it wil be covered. i guess my point is natural teeth are overrated in this day and age when you can have gorgeous teeth created for you :)
