Wow April, you're doing well. Congratulations on those approved. Kim, I feel your pain and disappointment. Checking USCIS starting making me too disappointed, so I had to make myself quit.

For the DHL tracking, here's from a post of what I did to track mine. It's kind of a slight variation. I used that original one that Kim posted but it was kinda wordy and confusing and the date didn't work for me, so I experimented and came up with this for myself.

My package left NVC on 08 May 2008. This is what I did on the site http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef

In the "reference" box, I put EXP 07 MAY 2008A (notice that's the day before they said it left)

They may generate their reference and do the packing the day before pick-up because EXP 08 MAY...didn't work.

Below in the "shipment pick up date range" I put May 8 2008 to May 8 2008 (I wanted to see things leaving NVC on only May 8) If you put in a range of dates, you'll see packages show up that are halfway there that actually left a couple of days before yours.

Then click the red arrow that says "track"

There were three pages of shipments, so be sure and click "next" which indicates if there are more pages.

I noticed that there were 67 shipments leaving NVC on May 8, but each was to a different country (no duplicates) which tells me that they combine petitions going to the same Embassy. Looking at details on some shipments, the London package was 3 pounds and Manila was 40 pounds, so there must have been many petitions from Manila going together.

I did the same steps above for the previous day (May 7) and there were 16 countries, but they were all different from the May 8 countries. Thats 83 different countries in 2 days, with multiple petitions in many boxes! It kinda gives you an idea that many more petitions are being processed than just the timelines we stare at here on VJ.

Good luck everybody. I'm happy for you.

I figured out why I feel down....I was mentally and emotionally prepared for 70-80 days with 50-70 being the 'average' but now that its like day 92, im getting a bit antsy! I just realized how long I've been waiting!!

have also started the compulsive checking of uscis just in case somehow the approved email doesnt come my way cos of junk mail settings or something, not that I dont throughly check my junk mail these days lol....

Only 26 days till I go to see my love though, cant wait, thank God I have that to look forward to!!! Hehe, almost seems too soon, I wanted to suprise him with my uber fitness and gym body lol but am nowhere near the washboard ab goals I set ;)

Missing someone gets easier everyday because even though you are one day further from the last time you saw them, you are one day closer to the next time you will.

I'm still waiting for my papers to get to NVC..... I already found the apartment to move in with my future husband :)

Last time I saw my honey was on April 15 ... I want him to be here by the end of August, the sooner the better.

I don't know how the embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay is, there aren't many that apply in that country for the K1 Visa. In visa journey, I have find only 3 cases :( ....

If any of you know anything about the embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay. I will appreciate it.

Thank you All :)

Hello Sandra, congratulations on your new apartment. You're getting close! Sorry I couldn't find much more about the Consulate in Uruguay either and it doesn't appear we have any avid posters from there.... but perhaps another couple from there can help you more if you pm them :) You could also mail the Consulate. :) I would be calling NVC as it only takes a day usually to reach them from Vermont. Good luck to you throughout the rest of the process!

Good morning April... well, I will admit that I was really hoping for a touch this morning after the approvals so close to us but ...well, not yet! I know it's coming though! :)

Off to work and then a doctor's appointment for my annual... gotta do the girly stuff there as well. Do you think that will mean i'm no longer celibate??? Sorry Dale, couldn't help myself! ;) Anyway, i'm still holding on for a touch (from the uscis... not from my doctor...dirty minds! ) and an approval for later in the day. Might be pushing my luck a bit.... ;)

Have a great day April!!! crossfingers.gif

woohoo.gif Congratulations! Do you remember when your last touch was?

Kim my last touch was 14 May. I saw today's touch at 0400 Eastern time but did not actually get the approval notice in USCIS site until 0754 Eastern Time. Still haven't gotten anything in the email yet just from the USCIS online status.
