Medical done, as was said above about a medical done in Germany i think, the Irish medical is very straight forward. fill out the forms, quick questions and examination the blood samples and xray done. Just wait for results now, sometime next week. No extra vaccines needed, he did say in Ireland the doctors are resisting the pressure to give all the new vaccines required, waste of money for the applicants he said, and a waste of time for them.

Howdy, everybody!!! Just wishing everyone a great Tuesday!!!

The enormity of everything has hit me today...Darren will be here soon (God willing), and I am stressing about $...for the AoS, the wedding, and trying to find him reliable transportation (in Orlando, that's a necessity). Usually I would just sign up to teach summer school, but our state education budget has been slashed this year, and, unfortunately, one of the first things to go is summer school...I would try to find other work for the summer, but it's hard to find anywhere that will work around my teacher training schedule for the summer.

I don't really have any viable solutions, just wanted to vent...I'm trying to keep my anxiety to a minimum around Darren since he is already so nervous about the interview, and I don't want him to worry about anything else.

Thanks for listening to me....

I guess we are all feeling the stress in a different way and for different reasons... maybe you and ricky and all the other USC could relate with the kinds of stress you guys are dealing with the impending arrival of your foreign SO's.

As for me and Darren and all the foreign SO's.... MAN! Insomnia anyone? Our medical (mine and my kids') will be May 13 and interview would be May 21.. when we called April 1 we were offered April 9 interview and I just freaked out... it can't be that fast... I'm totally not ready. So we opted for a date in middle to last week of may... I'm still working on most requirements and gathering documents here. And I'll be packing and the things i need to dispose. And to fix and put everything in order here first before I could leave. I'm just glad I was able to tell my father about my impending immigration and he was ok with it, not a negative word. :star:

One of my worries of who will stay in our house and manage our little boarding house have been ironed out but there's also one of my sisters who wants to go to Dubai for work and I still need to assist her before I could go. It's hard to be the eldest, your siblings just expect you to know everything and help them out with everything. i don't really mind under normal circumstances but it is adding to my stressors right now.

Maybe I need to go to the yoga center and do some meditations. OHM SHANTI! (F)

Dawn,

I completely understand 100% where you are coming from. I am stressing about money too... worrying about helping him find a job, getting him a car so he can get to his job, paying for the wedding, having the $1010 for the AOS.. it's very overwhelming. You know what though? The only thing that is important is at the end of the day is that we are together with our SO. When they finally get here, everything else will seem insignificant and work itself out... Love always finds a way :)

I'm not for sure how it works in England, but we emailed the German Embassy since Marco was here in the states. They sent us our interview date via email. It took them less than 1 day to respond. We just provided our Frankfurt case number....

It followed in the mail about 2 days later...

Dawn... hug9.gif big hugs! One of the most important things i've learned in my years is that worrying wont get the bills paid! ;) I know it's stressful to think about all that is to come but you have to believe it will all work out! This is a wonderful time for you both. I really hope you enjoy it! :) btw... there is someone with the same interview date as Darren who posted in the General Discussion forum.

Gaye... LOVE yoga! Does the soul good, doesn't it? It's great your father is ok with your immigration.

So many of you are almost through this part of the process! That's great! I'm very happy for you all. :)

It's difficult to think of a reason why some from even early January are still waiting while others are approved in less than a month. That's just not right! I hope you folks get your approvals SOON!

I've been stressing about the same things too. The $1010 AOS fee, and yes, the wedding expenses. Yes, we both knew it would be an expensive process, but when faced with all coming up in the next few months, it's get a little nerve wracking. I just started signing contracts and paying deposits this week for the wedding & reception. And I'm like OK, where is that money tree in the backyard?! :) I know it will all be fine, but it's sure taking a toll already, just thinking about the upcoming expenses. But like Kim said, I learned a long time ago, not to stress too much on it, because stressing on it won't resolve it.

I'm half tempted to email the Frankfurt embassy to see if they got Packet 3 back and inquire about interview date, but they are gone already, so wouldn't get me any information until tomorrow. I'm just ready for him to be here, so he can share in the fun stresses!!!

Hope everyone is well!

Dbears,

Thanks again for your warm words and wishes.

R&R aka R&I

You're always welcome and I really really hope and pray that you guys will get that approval soonest. Just stay strong and stay focused on the the PRIZE:YOUR SO!

Keeping you and all the others on the waiting list on my thoughts and prayers always! And I am sure there are a lot more here that are doing the same.hug2a.gif

Dawn... hug9.gif big hugs! This is a wonderful time for you both. I really hope you enjoy it! :) -101% agree kim  .. 8years of being a single mom had really thought me that what you said is absolutely true... when I am in a tight place, when bills pill up and the kids are sick, i panic but then stop and sing "God will make a way" by Don Moen. The words of the song just calms my nerves and it allows me to focus more on the things i can do to make things a little better and just lift all the things that are way beyond my control into God's mighty hand. He has never let me down so far... I am always sure, He will take care of all of us wherever and whatever.

Gaye... LOVE yoga! Does the soul good, doesn't it? It's great your father is ok with your immigration. -Yeah, maybe he feels that I'd be safe in Ricky's hands... my mother's initial worries was probably just becoz she'd be missing us and just don't want to admit it but she's ok now. She just worries it will be too cold for me and the kids. She still thinks, North Carolina is very near the North Pole

So many of you are almost through this part of the process! That's great! I'm very happy for you all. :)

It's difficult to think of a reason why some from even early January are still waiting while others are approved in less than a month. That's just not right! I hope you folks get your approvals SOON!-- yeah, and there are some from December and earlier still waiting also. My heart really breaks everytime I open Igor's list and there is no new January filer or earlier filer approved. :(

Less than a week for us now!--YAY! You'll finally be on the waiting room! I'm wishing you all the luck and fast and hassle free approval.

I hope the CSC speeds up for all of you ...

And you know, at this point in time, I'd settle for a potted plant that grew pennies!!!! :P Or a winning lottery ticket ... Nah, thinking on that again, I wouldn't trade any of it ... the process, the joys, the frustrations, the worries, the stresses, the happiness ... in the end, it will all go back to feeling the way it does whenever he and I are together, it's like nothing else matters, everything just feels right, together! :luv:
