Well the interview was a piece of cake...only we didnt get in until 2pm for our 1pm interview! Such a long wait and there was nobody else there even, that was the worst of it.

The interview took 15minutes tops, the lady confirmed our details(name address dob etc), asked us how we met, took a look at some wedding photos, looked at rent bill and joint bank statement then wrapped it up and told us we were good! She didnt even look at anything else, not even my passport or EAD.

No we just wait for the greencard to come in the mail i guess, and lift conditions in just under 2 years.

Congrats!!

Finally!!!! I would actually inquire about the infopass. I couldn't hurt to try. Maybe you'll get one in two weeks and be able to change your location. I hope all works out for you!!!

Thanks soulprovider915! "Finally" was my exact thought when we saw the envelope in the mail. Looks like the infopass appt won't work, so I'm trying to find some one at my gov't job to do a day trade with me so we can go on that date.

Thanks for the support!

No, nothing has changed on the website. Congratulations on your interview. Sorry you have to travel so far. After the long K1 process, it would have been nice to catch a break on the AOS process but at least we are through with USCIS for awhile. Have they updated the website for you yet?

Nothing on the website for us either. Strange, our notice date is Sept 12th and it took a week to get it in the mail.

Considering all the ####### we went through with K-1 (them losing our file..let alone the long process time), it really would've been nice not to have to make so many special arrangements for an interview. The most recent person I spoke to at USCIS said it must've been an error since if we put our zip code into there system it says our local office is Portland, OR (she did it also to see if I was telling her the truth), but they can't do anything to change it as our file has already been sent to Seattle. I even offered to pay to overnight the paperwork to Portland (a heck of a lot cheaper than gas and a rental car!!), but she didn't seem too receptive to that idea. I guess I'm supposed to be grateful that the file wasn't accidently sent to NY :bonk:

At least we're finally closer to the end of all of this for a while. They say that you should file for the lifting of conditions about 90 days before the gc expires. I'm thinking with the way they've handled our file since the beginning, we should start the process in a month or two after the interview! That should give them enough time to find it if they lose it and to make any necessary corrections on errors that they make!

Good luck on your interview!

No touches or anything . I thought we'd have an interview but I guess not. Now we're just waiting for the card in the mail. Funny because my wife is now back at home and worrying about using the AP to get back in at JFK. Maybe I'll go to her and bring the card if I get it before she comes back.
