I got an RFE in the mail yesterday )= It asks for an employer letter and 6 months paystubs for my household member sponsor. How long will this set us back???

It took 7 days from receiving RFE letter to USCIS updating our status to case processing resumed. Check our AOS timeline below.

03/27/2008 - RFE Letter : Dated.

03/31/2008 - RFE snail mail rec'd date ( EZ-864 / Missing birth certificate).

04/03/2008 - RFE document delivered to Lees Summit, MO @ 4:03 P.M:

04/07/2008 - AOS Touched, Current status: Response to rfe received, and case processing has resumed.

I had my fingerprint appointment today. I was done in 20 minutes and it was easy. They took all 10 fingerprints and a picture.

All I did was to bring the appointment notice and my drivers license.

Ok so 6 some weeks after USPS provided confirmation that the Chicago lockbox received our package ... still no check cashed!!

I just got off the phone with USCIS (800-375-5283) and was basically just told to hang tight. They keep referring to the deluge of applications just prior to the fee increase clogging up their system. The officer advised me to contact them back in 2 weeks. I would otherwise be extremely angry but what can you do? In addition, both the initial representative and the "next level of support" (since it was more than 4 weeks since applying) officer were very cordial and quick to get on the phone.

So the waiting continues I guess ...

Of coarce the faster you returne it the faster your case will be back on track. So counting from the day that I returned the RFE it took me 6 days.

03/26/2008 RFE for I-130, sent to LA Through USPS Certified mail

03/31/2008 I-130 RFE response letter is received

Im sorry they are taking so long I know its so hard to be left waiting..... It took one month for our check to be cashed ....

Our AOS didn't show up online until after our biometerics were done...and nothing since. Just trying to be patient. :reading:

Don't worry as you case transfered to Missouri as Missouri sends NOAs, biometrics letter as well as RFE... and they issue your EAD and AP... and after they transfer I-485 to California or another service center (it depends on your residence) for making decision.. or they can forward to your Local USCIS office first for interview and after your local USCIS office forwards to California or other Service Center for making decision...

This what I understood... so send RFE back to Missouri as Chicago is only a buffer center ;) Good luck.. we sent to Missouri

Hubbys Biometrics went well on April 5th... but USCIS didnt update the website for us... its still stuck on March 13th... case received and pending... IS this normal? :unsure: Im hoping that if they needed anything from us they would update the website ... any ideas ?
