Thanks all of you for your wishes! The interview went rather well. We showered the officer with docs. At some point he raised his hands up, and said that he was satisfied with the docs. And " we looked good".

He said he'd make a decision in a few days. (That part was a little frustrating coz we expected a decision right away).

So.. it seems like we shall find out next week. We will keep you guys posted.

Thanks again..

Well, if there's one thing I would like to ADVICE the rest of you, it would be "DON'T BE LATE". Last time, thanks to mapquest instructions, we made it there 10 minutes late. And the officer didn't seem thrilled about it. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the interview.

Anyway, this time, we arrived 45 minutes before time. The oficer was cordial. He said, that in our last interview, the officer "thought we might want to look at more docs", and hence we're called for this one.

He also said, he wanted to take a separate interview, and videotape it, but he decided against it in the last minute. (He didn't say why though)

No sooner had we finished the "oath-taking", we started to pull out stuff from our files, and overwhelmed him quickly. Bank transactions, insurance, apartment leases, letters, photos, cards whatever we could find.

20 minutes of chatting. At that point he said he didn't want any more docs. He will make his decision soon. "It looks good to me", he said, before we left.

No direct assurances, but we have a gut feeling that it went well.

Don't want to get our hopes too high though..

Thanks.. hope that helps..

Thank you guys for the feedback. Apart from the insurance papers, photographs and apartment leases, can you think of anything that we might want to present to them at the interview to validate our marriage? (It is real, and we have not resorted to any unfair means)

Thanks again

Then; you shouldn't have anything to worry about! The truth always prevails!

So.. finally, yesterday, the long-awaited "Welcome to the United States" letter arrives in the mail. It seems like the officer approved it right away. Good luck to all the rest of you. Get there on time, and get all the paperwork straight. Everything else will be fine. (As you all know, we had to go back for the second interview, but things were ultimately alright)

All the best to you again..

MikeH,

For what its worth, we had our interview last week and towards the end we were given instructions on lifting conditions which I took as a sign of approval and our online status was "touched" but the status read the same default message from when we first sent in the applications... then later last week we got the "welcome letter" in mail with no change in online status (no emails either) and after that the online status was touched again today and the status message finally changed to the after approval card ordered message. Also go multiple emails stating the same.

Mike, USCIS has put you through some ######, I am glad its finally almost over for you and wish that you have your GC in hand soon.

Take care friend!
