the weird thing is that i mailed the paperwork to TX but got all the paper work from VSC...

Transfered from TSC to VSC on. i kinda dont have any idea about when my case was transfered but when i check the status online thats what it says:

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On January 18, 2008, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Hello.

My husband received his biometrics letter today for 3/14/08. Is that strange we didn't receive the extension letter first?

Please update our timeline. By the way, I gave the wrong I-751 mail date. It should be 2/13/08. Thanks.

when we look at the list it usually takes around 5 months for vsc to approve the cases (after the biometrics)...have you guys figured it out how the pile is going or what kind of working system they have...and i am just wondering that what you guys think about our chances are as a new filers since they got mine on 01-18-2008...

You need to look at the NOA1 dates, not the biometrics dates, which can vary wildly. VSC has, or had, been running 6-7 months from NOA1 dates. However, about 4 months worth of TSC's petitions from early last year were just put in the VSC system less than two weeks ago, so it's not clear what the impact of those will be (that is, whether they will push back the approval of those VSC petitions with NOA1 dates of August 2007 and later that have not yet been queued up for adjudication).

If they keep on track, then with an NOA1 date of 1/18/08, you could be looking at an approval as "early" as the end of July in the absolute best case scenario (i.e., 6 months) . . . worst case scenario would probably be as late as the end of the year (i.e., 11 months, including the 7 months for the outside time for "normal" VSC processing and another 4 months due to being pushed back by the old TSC petitions). Or anytime in between, of course . . . .

sigh... one more early approval from csc ...i am about to lose my mind..my friend filed his from the same state that i live and his case was transfered to csc and got his card already...

you've only been waiting 2 months -- imagine what the people feel who have been waiting up to and beyond a year!

:) thats excatly my point...there are some people waiting over a year and some people 3 weeks...thats crazy u know...dont get me wrong...but when my friend ( a real friend who lives couple blocks away from my house) gets approved in 3 weeks and this is my second month....thats so not fairrrrrrr...

:) and we dont even know that how longer we are going to wait...

Second month!?!?!? Try going into your second year waiting and then tell me how it feels. Next month we'll be starting our second year of waiting. Some people are already into their second year.
