Hi everyone,

Could someone please add me to the VSC status list? Sent I-751 02/21/08

NOA dated 02/27/08

Biometrics 03/14/08

No touches since 03/16/08.

Can anyone clarify for me if the one year extension is from the receipt date on NOA or is it from the date on expired greencard? :unsure: My greencard expired on 05/04/08. The reason I ask is because we are travelling to Australia from the 1st., April'09 to the 17th., April 09 and I am concerned that I may not be approved or have received the 10 year greencard before we leave. Any suggestions as to what to do would be greatly appreciated.....thanks in advance. Seems VSC have come to a complete standstill!

I believe that it is from the expiry date on the Green Card. So you would be OK. Make sure that you take the extension letter with you. If it gets close to the leave date (and still not received 10yrGC), I would make an infopass appointment and get a stamp in your passport just to make sure.

Yes.

The only Caveat that I would add is that you should include a copy of either your NOA or Biometrics notice from your I-751 to show that you have filed properly for removal of conditions.

Thankyou for your help and for adding me. I am trying to avoid an infopass appointment because even though we did our biometrics in Syracuse (2 hour drive) our AOS interview was in Buffalo NY ( 4.5 hour drive) and I am guessing that is where we would have to go for the stamp in passport. If we have to well I guess we will but I'm keeping my fingers x'd for everyone that things start moving at VSC.
