OK... let me try again. What I was trying to convey was: "I had no idea you guys had it that bad. I feel sorry for you." No rubbing it in - just sympathy. I apologize if I offended anyone.

Now, regarding the idea of 3-year conditional residency - I actually think is IS a decent idea. At the very least, many of us would save the I-751 fee by submitting N-400 right away.

I will keep it short since this is the post of the timeline not for true posting, but ideas like that must try to convey many situations that would or may affect beneficiaries in general. Not everybody who is a conditional resident will apply for citizenship even is married with a US citizen or even apply right there when their three years is due, so in my personal opinion and looking situations in general...the faster you can get done with USCIS the better. Two year max, is enough. As the previous poster says...the problem is the slow processing at VSC. Citizenship is another class-step benefit that might continue or not but I-751 you must do it.

OK... let me try again.

Sure do.

Moved here from Charlotte, NC last June and love it here. I live on the intersection of US-19 and Gulf-to-Bay Blvd. so we're close to everything, nor far from the beach and just 20 minutes from Tampa. I'm doing my degree in computer science right now and eventually I'll need to look for a job elsewhere in the US and move again as there's nothing in my field anywhere in Florida, but I'm reluctant to move as I like Clearwater and Florida as a whole so much.

Watching the news and all the snow and people dressed like eskimos up north just makes me even more reluctant to leave here. :)

:goofy: Hello everyone. I haven't been on here in such a long time as you just got to file that darn I-751 and then go on with your own life and not worry about processing times until you hear something. Anyhow, I saw the posts about Tampa. I moved to Tampa (Brandon) from Birmingham, AL just last year (Dec 2007), and tomorrow I am moving to Mobile, AL (on the coast) as hubby's job got transferred. So I just got online and changed our address and thought I'd pop in here. Our I-751 has been pending since March 3, 2008 and I just checked our status online (which I haven't done it in months) and we were evidently touched a few days ago. Anyhow, I'm waiting on the packers to come and pack us up and load us tomorrow. My Internet and cable will be cut off within the next couple hours so I'm not sure when I will get back on this thing - probably not until Tuesday when our furniture is delivered to Mobile and I can get hooked up again. I will miss Tampa. I love looking outside and seeing palm trees everywhere and the warm winters (except for the past few days - though will be mid to upper 70s by the weekend). :goofy: Edited by Shari

berlmj, I didn't mean to run you off this thread, but as you know people on this thread are very anxious and the last thing I was looking forward to is someone from CSC talking about fast it is. It's all good.

Maybe instead of I feel sorry for you, you could have said i empathize with you, no problem. sorry for the mean welcome.

Have a nice day

I share the same feelings as the ones described by mbmw - my frustration with the delate processing in VSC had grown tremendously during the past few months. I asume that the message BERLMJ attempted to convey was lost within the words he/she used.

Hope everyone gets an approval ASAP and we move on with our lives!!!

good luck to each and eveyrone one of us, regardless of their processing location!!! :)):)......

Thanks mbmw and danielbgster, good posts! Fair play to you both as us Irish would say :) And agreed, best of luck to us all regardless of processing location.

Best of luck to you also with the move Shari!

reddiablo, I spent xmas down in Naples. A beautiful spot. I visited Sanibel Island on the way back to Clearwater. When I'm rich and famous (that might take a while) I'll buy a place there. :D

Hey J&D, I used to live around the corner from you at the apartments on Old Coachman (used to be Post Apartments back then, instead of condos I think now) but now I live in Orlando. I kinda miss the quiet of Clearwater.

Im curious (and Im sure its been questioned before but I havent read back through the many pages of this thread), can you file for N-400 once you are eligible even if you have yet to recieve your 10 year green card?
