Hi,

Has anyone of you here had their interview cancelled? Our interview was supposedly scheduled on March 24, 2008 here in Las Vegas but I received today a mail that they cancelled it due to unforeseen circumstances and they will just inform us for a reschedule. I just hope it won't take long. Even the card production of my EAD has been changed too, from Feb 5 to Feb 8.

thanks,

babycakes

Yes it happens, and the general advice is to go anyway.

Hi,

I'm a little worried now, been trying to search in the forum for cases like mine and there are a few whose application was denied due to not going to the supposedly cancelled interview which was not even rescheduled. But those cases are way back 2005-2006.

If anyone has the same case as mine lately, please share your experiences.

thank you so much,

babycakes

Hi,

I really can't think of any reason at all, my application went smoothly until now, no RFE's. All my papers were meticulously prepared. Anyways, we will still go to that cancelled interview if ever we don't receive any reschedule or even if there is a reschedule that is after the original date of interview just to make sure, because there are couples here that were really denied for not showing to the original interview date.

I wish you all the good luck.

Hello,,, usually they just reschedule the cancelled appointment. My friend from Florida had a cancelled nov 07 interview but they rescheduled it last december07. If you dont receive any notice just go through your cancelled date. There are DENIED cases already who did not go for a cancelled interview. Better to go than be denied.

3/12/10 - arrived at CSC

7/07/10 - called USCIS why green card has not received yet

7/09/10 - email from USCIS stating that they already sent the GC on May 25th and undeliverable,

The exact same thing just happened to us. It is also for March 24th and also at the Las Vegas office (ours was at 8am). I am going to call the USCIS tomorrow as I still have not had any news on my EAD either and our notice date was in November... Looking at the advice here I am still going to go unless we get another appointment scheduled earlier.

Definitely go to your 'cancelled' interview, unless you get rescheduled for an EARLIER date. As stated several times, you may well get denied for not showing up even with the cancellation notice. Leave it to the government not to make a bit of sense. Hope you both get good results.

I recieved an email saying that my EAD card was ordered so i'm not stressed out anymore about the AOS. However, I will definately be going on the 24th and act like we never got a cancellation after all i've been hearing about these deportation letters for no shows!
