Just wanted to share our experience. We went to get our local office (through InfoPass appt.) to get our AP expedited on 1/31/06. Everyone was very professional and very courteous. We explained or situation to the immigration officer, major financial commitments (we have a religious ceremony in Spain in mid-March that has been planned for >1 year with 30+ family/friends from the US making the journey that have already paid for their flights) and that we misunderstood the timelines for the processing dates (at that time, I thought our AP and EAD to be forwarded to our service center or local office - stupid me). He understood our situation and telephoned the MSC to ask them to 'put a rush' on the AP (he called three different internal numbers and kept getting referred to a different one, finally told us 'I can understand what you have to go through'). They told him OK, and that was it. We did not get any confirmation of this except for their acknowledgement. Well I did not want to make a big deal out of it at this time (still had about 5-6 weeks) so we accepted this and left. We discussed it, decided to give it a couple of weeks and if we did not hear anything to make another appointment in a couple of weeks. Well low and behold; today we received the AP (along with two FP appts) in the mail today. I am so relieved (sell your Johnny Walker stock). I am also sending a big Thank You letter to our local office.
