It bothers me when people suddenly see something in the bible and use it to justify what they want to do.

Are they saying the bible doesn't say they should adopt?

That is the crux of the issue to me...most pro-lifers love babies, but only their babies. Children waiting for adoption are ignored.

And yes, one of the reasons I wrote to my fiance in the first place was, she had a young child, and I wanted to help raise another child without bringing another person into this world.

Quite frankly, don't we have enough people aready?

Why do we ignore the part of the bible about being good stewards of our world?

This kind of reminds of the McCaughey septuplets and how the parents said it was God's will that she had 7 kids.... erm, nevermind that she used the science of fertility drugs to get pregnant with 7 kids... AND they already had one kid. But I guess one child wasn't enough of a blessing. But that's ok, they got loads of cash, goods, and whatnot to support them. God's will, indeed....

And now I'm sure they get a healthy income from being on T.V all the time.

And it is my right as an american to call them douchebags and state that she has a clown car #######.

I just think that it is dumb to bring that many children into the world.

you are 100% correct.. i worry more about arid areas of the world or other parts of the world ..where it is part of a certain faith not to use birth control...

Also, let's wait 20 years and see how many of these children turn out totally dysfunctional.

Well, the most children one woman has managed to have is 69 - so she has quite a way to go!

How is that even possible biologically? Even if she started at 13 and ended at 45 that gives her 32 fertile years - she must have had a lot of multiple births...
