Welcome MissingHer, glad to see another CSC. Vermont seems to be working so much faster.

I know the feeling! But I keep thinking "well...if everyone I see is at VSC that must mean that CSC's workload is going to drop and they'll speed WAY up...right?...right?"

See my timeline for my K-1 and AOS/EAD/AP details.

Very true, I didn't think of it that way! Always think positive right?

Ok...lemme start off with today has been one of those BAD days. The ones where everything we're doing seems so hopeless. Like my visa is never going to be approved. Where the idea of how much time we have to wait seems so overwhelming and I just need to rant for a minute to people who will understand how frustrating this is. I just took a look at my timeline and the estimated date has changed...to LATER in August than it said earlier today. I thought those dates were supposed to get CLOSER to now...not farther away. I am so frustrated with this entire process. I have a friend who went through the fiance visa hoops about 6 years ago and while they were waiting for the approval a cousin of hers had his foreign fiancee just move to the US, they got married, got a lawyer, and she was legal and working within 30 days. Well...why in the world am I bothering to do this the legal way when there are essentially no repercussions for doing it the wrong way...I can come up with lawyer money if that's what I need to do. I'm not really going to do that because I really do feel that I need to go through the paces and do it right...it's just infuriating to know that if I threw out my regard for the law I could have my love here with me. It's like being punished for doing the right thing.

Hey, keep smiling and hoping!

Since i filled my timeline it change often sometime its closer sometime no. Its just and average from others filling. Its not real information from USCIS.

I understand, almost every day i think that something will happens and that i will not have the visa.

Its really hard, and yes around me there's nobody who can really understand what i feel exactly. I can't get all of that out of my head from the time i wake up to the time i fall asleep every day.

Its long and hard, even we just started.

We will have our visas.

Hugs

I can understand the frustration as can many others. This isn't easy and unfortunately most people don't understand the real stress it causes. Aside from those of you here on this board I have no one else I can really talk to in regards to this whole process. My family doesn't know for the most part only because I just recenlty ended my marriage. They want me to wait but how can I when I know this is right? So you guys are it for me on those days when I know I'll feel helpless while waiting for some person in an office who has no clue of what we go through decides to finally approve our application. It makes me think of the movie The Terminal. How one small colored stamp means so much to the person awaiting entry. The movie took on a whole new meaning to me when i began this journey.

To all my fellow VJers. Keep up hope, keep the smiles going with the knowledge that there is an end to this whole thing and it results in being with our loved one for good.

I think the first month, and probably the last month are the hardest. That estimated adjudication date moves a lot. When I started (1/29 NOA1 date) My estimated adjudication date was 8/6. It then moved up 1 day, down one day, etc. Things actually started moving about two weeks ago when the CSC cleared got over a lot of outstanding files from July (the famous July rush before the fees went up), and my date began getting closer. I'm now at July 22, but I expect (ok... pray) that it will ultimtely hit June 22. Those projected timelines are based on the past - not the future. See where you stand in 30 days, I guarantee it will be better than it is today. Keep smiling, even if it's with clenched teeth.
