Received a CRIS update that card production has been ordered. We have begin planning our visit to India for my wife to meet the family!!! This process has been long, worrisome, and in many ways it seemed like our lives were hanging in abeyance as we waited. Thankfully everything worked out and we can begin planning our next steps in terms of travel, buying house, etc.

We're actually planning to drive across the border to Canada and back just for kicks as soon as I receive my GC.

did you take i-693 to the interview?

I live in Vancouver, WA. It takes 20 min to get to the Portland office and took us over 3 hours to get to Seattle. A huge waste of time and gas to get there and back (I had to take a day off work from both of my jobs.) Worth it of course for his visa, but it seems a bit ridiculous. They should send you to the closest place.

Can you describe your interview experience in the Portland office? What are the USCIS officers like (friendly, rude, helpful...). How long was your interview and how did it go? Any information will help.

thank you!

First, congratulations on your approval at the interview!! Sorry, I've been extrememly busy at both my jobs and had a schedule change so i haven't been on for a couple of weeks. As you can see from the quote of mine, we didn't have our interview in Portland, we had to go up to Seattle. The interview in Seattle was relatively short, but seemed like we waited forever.

Congrat's again to you and to the rest of you who were approved over the holidays!!

I apologize for misreading your post - I realized after I submitted my question that you didn't attend the interview in Portland :-)

Welcome letter received today!

(Are there any Feb 09 filers left in this thread that haven't received their approvals?)

Nothing yet. I had a inquiry started and they sent a letter saying that after researching they found that our case has not yet been approved. What geniuses. I'm going to schedule an Info Pass and I sent the OBUDSMAN a letter last monday.

THank you for writing. I thought everyone was gone from here. It is sooooo lonely being the last one.

Actually, I think I am last from feb '08.

I'm stuck in CSC "Pending" after a transfer on 4/22/08 from my field office. The Infopass basically said all is fine and I'm in line and it'll be my turn in Feb + or - 3 months and won't be needing an interview.

Meanwhile...

CSC is processing August 15, 2008 for I 485 and my field office is processing July 14, 2008. And i'm just sitting here getting ready to choke up another $340 for a EAD because it looks i'm on permanent wait. I'm going to call in the morning now that CSC is processing beyond my date all the sudden, buy 6 months!!!

2-22-08 - I-485 rev'd

2-27-08 - NOA1

3-17-09 - Transferred to Cali.

4-12-08 - Biometrics

4-22-08 - Touch

4-28-08 - EAD received.

...waiting...

3-04-09 - Had to renew the EAD :(

3-04-09 - Got annoyed at being outside of the processing window

3-04-09 - Called and they confirmed. Will contact me within 45 days.

3-05-09 - Date on the EAD NOA1

3-12-09 - Received a confirmation email that I am outside of the window and will get a decision in 60 days.

3-12-09 - TOUCH!!!

3-27-09 - Touch!

5-09-09 - Randomly received the renewed EAD Card... w/ wrong A# :(.
