How long did it take most people to get their green card after a successful interview?

Took us 14 months.

It depends on the individual case. Some people get their cards within a couple weeks. Others have had to wait years because of background checks or administrative review.

The Green Card arrived 10 days after our interview.

I don't know if hubby's name is in an FBI name check so we'll have to see. It has been 12 days since he was approved. I made a copy of his GC stamp in his passport so he has that until the card arrives.

Were there updates on-line indicating the card would be produced?

Oh they stamped his passport?

He's probably not stuck in namecheck then and you should have the card soon.

Agreed, if they stamped the passport that means name check is complete and you should receive the card soon.

Most people get emails within 24 hours of their interview. We had our interview on Sept 18, that night we had an email "Card Production Ordered". On the Sept 19th we got an email "Welcome Notice Sent". We received the Welcome Notice on Sept 25th. Then on Sept 26 we received 3 Emails, "Approval Notice Sent". The approval notice is the one with the green card, which we received on Sept 28th.

Ours was about 3 weeks. We didn't get the approval email within 24 hrs of interview, but rather about 2 weeks after interview, which kind of stressed us out.

It's nice to know that about the stamp in the passport. No updates so we'll just keep checking the mail and be patient. Hubby's new DL will come in the mail soon too.

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Current Status: Notice mailed welcoming the new permanent resident.

On January 22, 2008, ......

...and you know the rest. I checked the on-line status too and there was only an update too. The welcome letter was mailed out 2 weeks after the approved interview. Not too bad...now we just have to await the GC in the mail.
