I heard a rumor Starbucks bought Seattle's best and now it's all Starbuck's. Starbucks stock not doing so well just means they're not raking it in like they're used to. That giant isn't going to topple anytime soon.

I wonder....hubby used to work there. He said his employee discount was good at another coffee place. I thought it was Tully's but maybe its Seattle's Best.

I like a lot of the different lattes. But yeah it's pricey, that's why I asked for Starbucks' gift cards for Christmas! Oh yeah, that's some good lattes. And I am not paying for them myself. Feels good.

Starbucks is alright, but I am a cheapa$$. I use the cheapest store brand that is dark French roast (Fred Meyer's brand, part of Kroger's now) $4.99 for a big can. Then I make it strong at home and use coffee mate French vanilla liquid creamer and a pinch of splenda. Tastes great! I like it better most of the time.

And as far as the boycott thing goes, you want to make sure those people that grow coffee make absolutely no money instead of some money? So they will not be able to feed their families? So you can feel better about yourself? The demand will drive up their earnings not boycotting them. Supply and demand governs prices and earnings not boycotts and misguided good intentions. Economics and free trade determine what the farmers will earn not just what the company decides to pay them. If the demand for coffee is greater than the farmer can demand higher prices or he will sell his coffee else where. This is basic economics, didn't they teach you this in school?

Confession: I have never been to Starbucks.

You're my new hero. Please do all you can to remain pure & Starbucks-Free.

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.
