How to assemble the AOS application package

How do I assemble the AOS application?? I've seen conflicting examples of cover letters.

Should I seperate all the documents and their supporting evidence in seperate envelopes then put all the envelopes in one big envelope.

Should there be multiple copies of supporting documents? Example, for the I-94(front and back), copy of NOA2, copy of K1 from passport etc - should I make multiple copies and include in each envelope wherever its required as supporting evidence?

Any feedback would be appreciated

What are some guidelines for the preparation and order of the application packages being forwarded to the NBC?

With regard to the specific content of an application/petition, please refer to the instructions attached to the individual application/petition form.

With regard to the preparation and order of application/petition packages, we suggest the following order of documents to facilitate Lockbox processing:

1. Fee paper clipped (or stapled) to front left of uppermost document

2. G-28, if applicable (with original signatures of both the representative and the applicant)

3. Primary application/petition (with original signature of applicant/petitioner)

4. Supporting documentation

For example, the following are the types of documents that would support the submission of a family-based I-485:

o I-797 Receipt or Approval Notice for I-130 Petition for Alien Relative

o Any documents that establish basic eligibility:

o NBC defines basic eligibility as: Visa Eligibility: The applicant is eligible to receive an immigrant visa under the category in which he or she has applied.

o Entry: The applicant was inspected, admitted, or paroled into the U.S., or has filed under section 245(i).

o Visa Availability: An immigrant visa is immediately available to the applicant at the time of filing.

o Other supplementary documents

Hi,

i recently sent my documents .i used four envelops( letter sized orange envelop)

Envelop 1 = I 130 + supporting docs+ fee

Envelop 2= I 485 + Supporting documnets+ fee

Envelop 3 = I 864 + supporting documents

Envelop 4 = I 765 + supporting documents+ fee

I used one cover letter for all of above mentioning content of each envelop . and to be on safe side i wrote content of each envelop on the enveolp side. Moreover supporting documents were repeated in each envelop. Like you need G325 A for I 485 and also for I 130 in my case. So i had G325 A in both of these envelops. Passport copies were required by I 485 and I 765 forms. So i had copies in both of them for example.

Then I went to post office and used legal sized envelop of Priority mail and put all envelops in that and posted them with signature confirmation receipt. My application was recevied by chicago lock box next day.

MAKE SURE TO APPROPRIATELY GIVE THE FEE OF EACH APPLICATION

If you need any help let me know

Question, on the envelope who do your direct it to? eg, Attention: Department of Homeland Security? What do you put?

I used one cover page which was addressed to department of homeland security for all documents.

On the instructions for I-485, it lists the addressee as U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Therefore, I used that. I don't think it makes a real difference.
