I sent the I-129f packet in August of 2007 and it just got approved today. I am so excited. NOw what do I do. I got a notice on e-mail saying that my case has been approved :dance: and to wait for instructions. I am going to see my Fiance on January 24 do you think he will receive a packet when I am there??? And what documents should I send him??? I need help thanks all :help:

Is this a K-1 question or did you file an I-130 directly to a US consulate for CR-1/IR-1 visa? Your post is in the wrong forum.

Anyway give it 2-4 weeks for USCIS to transfer the petition to NVC and then contact NVC and ask about status, they will give you a DOS case number and indicate if case has been sent on to the consulate.

You may also start preparing your I-134 affidavit of support closer to interview time.

First you jump and scream, then you collect yourself and wait.... They will send a packet to the local office and your SO will be told what to do next. You can check to see when it arrives there, but it is all up to USCIS how fast or slow they go. It may not be there by the end of this month, so I would enjoy my time with my SO and know that this is a waiting process.
