We got no letter, and no email. But my wife checks her status online, and it showed up there. On the 27th of this month, we had planned to send off her passport for a one year extension stamp. But, since her card was ordered to be produced on the 10th of this month, there is a chance we will get the actual 10 year green card before the 27th.

If you are like us and have gotten no emails and no letters, I suggest checking your status online or calling the information line.

May 27, 2009: N-400 Window Opens

June 2, 2008: N-400 Sent

June 3, 2008: N-400 Received at Nebraska Service Center

June 13, 2008: NOA1

June 16, 2008: Biometrics letter

June 24th, 2008: Biometrics Appointment

July 7th, 2008: Called FBI, verified that biometrics check has been completed and returned to USCIS

August 26th, 2008: N-400 Interview Passed

September 18th, 2008: Swearing in, Billings Montana

Send Expedited 14-day passport paperwork???

A letter or an I-797C that is an official notice of action? The one year extension notice received was an official document that we used to get my wife back into this country and had some value. This Notice of Action was just to inform us that our case was transferred from Nebraska to California and how to check the case status on-line.

Also states:

"If the service center is within processing time for your particular application or petition, USCIS cannot provide an update on your case. If the service center is outside of processing time for your particular application or petition, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283 to request an update."

Checking our case status on-line, we get this as I am sure the rest of you have received.

"Receipt Number: LIN07129xxxxx

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

The CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED was transferred and is now pending standard processing at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done, counting from when USCIS received it. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. To receive e-mail updates, follow the link below to register."

Unlike the old one from Nebraska, this new notice no longer has our processing date. But the recently received Notice of Transfer has a Notice Date of March 30, 2008, but a Receipt date March 27, 2007. So do we go buy the Notice or the Receipt date? Do they honor our application dates or are we the new kids on the block? The CSC Processing Dates uses the term, "Processing Timeframe" that adds a 3rd parameter as to precisely what date they are talking about.

But at least we know which USCIS SC our application is at.

I am happy for those that are happy, and sad for those who are sad.

Not leaving any other stones unturned, sent more proof to CA this morning, 2007 tax returns, property tax bill, AKC registration of our new German Shepherd Dog, and some Christmas photos.

With a minor reminder that our application is already over a year old and thought they would appreciate an update on our proof.

And that we are still here and still waiting, that we didn't die or leave the country or something like that.

I got my approval notice on Friday the 11th only to receive a second notice this morning stating that production of my new card had been ordered on the 12th. LOL What, am I getting TWO green cards suddenly? Did they like my application so much they decided to approve me twice? Oh well, at least it's all over and done with. Just...funny, I guess.

Letter in the mail on April 12, 2008, that the application was transferred to CA service center! Notice date was March 27, 2008.

E-mail notice saying it was transferred was received on April 01, 2008 (wthout saying where to). Was touched again April 2. At least the letter offers a location.

Here's the catch: On the letter, under case type it says "CRI89 Approved removal of conditions (I89)."

Do the other letters received regarding the transfer say the same? Does the "Approved" part really mean anything? Please share.

Thanks!

p.s. Online status is still "Current Status: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred."

Well, at face value, you filed your I-751 a few weeks before us. You also had the bad luck of having it go to Nebraska. That is the bad news. The good news is your claim has been transferred, most likely to California. From looking at the responses, we can see that there are a good many people here that, once their claim was transferred, got an approval letter shortly after. My wife and I included in that list.

So, long story short, I would wait till the end of the month then call USCIS. Plus I would check your status online twice a day. I suspect you will be getting an approval notice very soon.

Our E-mail states "CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED"

Our I-797C Transfer Notice states "CRI89 APPROVED REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS (I89)."

But I can't share with your what this means, never had a course in USCIS Languages and my crystal ball has a crack in it.

Only thing I know for sure, my wife's and daughter's PRC's say they are expired. They are crystal clear on that point.

Anybody here speak USCIS?

A bunch of us TSC transferees got that letter with the word "approved" on the top too. It doesn't mean you are approved.

See our discussion on the subject starting here:

and scroll down to tweety's post #38 where she first reports getting said letter.
